Kevin Weeda & James Rossiter to race for Lotus at Spa in LMP2

Lotus is pleased to announce that the team will run two cars at the 6 Hours of Spa. After the successful first appearance at the inaugural event of FIA WEC in Sebring, Lotus is set to contest the next round in Belgium with two cars. American Kevin Weeda and Briton James Rossiter will join the team and race alongside Thomas Holzer, Mirco Schultis and Luca Moro in Spa. Kevin Weeda was recently contesting in the 2012 Gulf 12 Hours being held at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi. Lotus Cup Europe – Round 1 race report

Jon Walker was ready to continue his great Nürburgring form in Lotus Cup Europe last weekend but the Eiffel snow wasn’t the only spoiler, as 2-Eleven convert Xavier Georges took pole position as the drivers adapted well to the arctic conditions. However Walker regrouped to take the race one win, despite a spin that had looked set to hand victory to Gregory Rasse’s Evora. FORMULA ONE – LOTUS F1 TEAM AT MALAYSIAN GRAND PRIX Lotus F1 Team’s Kimi Raikkonen drove a strong race at Sepang to convert his tenth-place start into fifth place and ten points. Frezza and Giudici dominate at Lotus Cup Italy opener

This weekend saw the opening of the 2012 Lotus Cup Italy season with a thrilling 15 car race. Lotus Cup UK drivers took part in this first race of the season to support the series and create even greater interest. It was clear from the practice sessions that the cars to watch for were English driver Randal (Lotus Europa), the Frezza-Giudici team (Lotus Evora GT4) and Fumagalli (Lotus 2-Eleven GT4) as they were by far the fastest in practice. Williams & Donnelly team up in Evora GTN for Lotus Cup UK

Team Bullrun delivered an impressive start to their challenge for the Britcar MSA Endurance Title with a Class win and fastest class lap in the opening round on the Silverstone GP circuit last weekend. The new Lotus Evora performed strongly in the 3 hour race, running 3rd overall with 30 minutes to go, when a puncture forced an extra pit stop and dropped them down to finish 6th overall, but still comfortably ahead of their class competitors. Lotus team up with Alex Job Racing in ALMS

Lotus Motorsport and Alex Job Racing are joining forces to compete for the American Le Mans Series GT (ALMS) championship beginning in 2012. The team will be known as Lotus Alex Job Racing (AJR). The factory-endorsed sports car team will focus its primary efforts in North America.   Lotus on Track Racing Drivers Club launched their 2012 season at the MotorSport Vision Racing Media Day on Tuesday, which will see continued expansion in their sixth year of racing. The Elise Trophy continues to provide some of the UK’s finest club racing, whilst Lotus Cup Europe visits some of the continent’s finest venues.
