Earlier in the week Lotus revealed the Evora GTC and we've been lucky enough to get hold of wallpaper sized versions of the picture they used, thanks to Lotus. Picture of the Month – April 2012

This months picture was taken on the photo shoot for the Evora Long Term Test update which you can find here. The location is the once grand tree lined avenue drive of Mereworth Castle in Kent, once a grandiose homage to the domed Villa Rotunda in Italy, it's now the private residence of an UAE billionaire and his supercar loving family. This part of the driveway is now cut off from the main house by the A26 Tonbridge Road and the former gatehouses are private residences in their own right, the owners of which whom graciously gave TLF permission to take some pictures … [Read more...]

[PICS] Goodwood Media Day – FoS & Revival Preview

Wednesday the 14th March is a day when Goodwood hosts a smaller and more intimate event, a combination of a mini Festival of Speed and Revival to give the media a glimpse of what to expect at this year's events. 2012 is a special year for Lotus as they are the main sponsor of the Festival of Speed and as such will be designing the sculpture which forms the centerpiece of the event on the lawn in front of Goodwood House. [PICS] Lotus at the 2012 Salon De L’Automobile, Geneva

Lotus were again occupying a decent amount of floorspace at this year's Salon De L'Automobile at Geneva's Palexpo, similar in size and location to the 2011 stand. With a total of 9 cars on display to the press on the 6th March there were 2 new variations of existing products, namely the carbon fibre bodied Lotus F1 Edition Evora GTE, limited to a run of 5 cars and the MY2012 Exige S Roadster, a soft-top and more 'lifestyle' edition of the hardcore 3.5l V6 Exige. [PICS & VIDEO] Lotus F1 Team launch their 2012 contender ‘E20′

Named for the team's Enstone base, the E20 was launched yesterday by the 2012 drivers Kimi Raikkonen and Romain Grosjean. The car features the new stepped nose design similar to other 2012 F1 cars and also the graphics of new sponsor Unilever via their brand 'Clear'. Painted in Lotus Sport signature black & gold the car shows less prominent Lotus branding as this colour scheme has been adopted throughout the Lotus motorsport efforts this year to introduce commonality and better recognition. [PICS] 2011 Classic Car Show

For the 4th successive year TLF attended and exhibited at the Classic Car Show at the Birmingham NEC. The UK's biggest classic car show and indeed one of the biggest automotive events of the year attracting more than 80,000 visitors, the show also boasts more than 1,200 cars on display from clubs all over the country. This year as ever the event was teamed up with the Classic Bike Show and Top Gear Live but the Cars took the largest space of the event filling 7 of the NEC's 12 halls to capacity. Last week saw a major milestone event in Group Lotus’ history as the first Lotus showroom in China was declared officially open for business. Taken at the Lotus Festival this year at Snetterton, this months picture is of Andrew Swift's stunning and clearly fly annihilating  Exige S1. Andrew, who lives in Leeds is a keen Lotus man with this being his second having recently sold on a laser blue Elise 111R. The photograph was taken by TLF member Martyn Lewis. BBC F1 anchorman Jake Humphrey joined Lotus at the IAA in Frankfurt to present to the media a batch of new and improved cars to bolster the current lineup of products. Lotus again are back in the Premiership with a new 5 year deal announced which will see the company commit a seven figure sum to the club over it's duration. The new sponsorship was announced at the Carrow Road stadium with players from the team and racing drivers from Lotus in attendance along with a selection of Lotus's motorsport and road cars.
