Join Portuguese rally driver Bernardo Sousa on board the Exige R-GT at the Goodwood Festival of Speed where we clock him doing the run in 1:03.09. The Exige followed a huge number of classic Lotus racers and current road cars on the course and in the video you'll also see the $1m T125 set off up the hill with Johnny Mowlem at the wheel. [PICS] Lotus at the 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed

Lotus are this year's main sponsor of the Goodwood Festival of Speed and for the deal they get to design the sculpture outside Goodwood House and take up somewhere around 500m2 of stand space. Classic Team Lotus are also at the festival in force with 40 classic F1 cars and the F1 team plus Lotus International Rally team are on display with the E20 and Exige R-GT respectively. Lotus is proud to present the official video created by Daniel Simon. Hollywood Designer Simon, who is known for movies like Tron: Legacy and the famous black and gold livery of the Lotus LMP2 car, visited the inaugural race of the 2012 FIA World Endurance Championship and accompanied Lotus day and night. Jonathan Legard introduced Lotus CEO Dany Bahar and Lotus F1 Team driver Kimi Raikonnen at the 2012 Salon De L'Automobile in Geneva. Bahar talks about the ongoing business at Lotus, how the takeover of parent company Proton by DRB-Hicom has effected operations and R&D at Lotus and the new Exige S Roadster variant. Kimi discussed life on and off track and about being back with Lotus in F1. Named for the team's Enstone base, the E20 was launched yesterday by the 2012 drivers Kimi Raikkonen and Romain Grosjean. The car features the new stepped nose design similar to other 2012 F1 cars and also the graphics of new sponsor Unilever via their brand 'Clear'. Painted in Lotus Sport signature black & gold the car shows less prominent Lotus branding as this colour scheme has been adopted throughout the Lotus motorsport efforts this year to introduce commonality and better recognition. The Priocept sponsored Exige has been the leading Lotus throughout 2011 in the Britcar MSA British Endurance Championship, battling all season against Ferraris, Porsches, Ginettas and Lambos in three and four hour races. The car is prepared and run by Lotus specialist GT4 Motorsport at Brands Hatch in Kent.  In November 2011 the team competed in the final round of the championship, a three hour night race at Brands Hatch. Last month saw the 2nd huge gathering of Lotus cars in Japan, an epic event held under the banner of 'Japan Lotus Day'. A traditional heartland of Lotus enthusiasm, the Fuji Speedway was chosen at the ideal location for Lotus owners to get together and enjoy the event.
