grid_243877943The first Formula One Grand Prix of 2010 will start in Bahrain on Sunday March 14th. If you would like to be a Champion in 2010, then join us and The Lotus Forums Fantasy Formula One League. It is just a bit fun and you can pit your wits against other Forum members and vie for the chance of wrestling last years crown from lucky ol' Rocket63.

The rules are very simple. Just follow the link below and then watch this space. Last entries for Teams is Thursday 11th March. So if you have not entered the League yet, why not? Get your skates on.

Lotus Racing aims for a reliable start

_MG_1651-18c8c093With less than five days to go to the start of the Bahrain Grand Prix, Lotus team principal Tony Fernandes says ensuring its cars finish the race will be the squad's main target for its maiden grand prix this weekend.

The Norfolk-based outfit, which has revived the Lotus name in Formula 1 after a 16-year absence, only joined the group testing fray from the penultimate test at Jerez following a whirlwind five months in which it had to design and build its 2010 car, hire staff and get prepared for the season.

Lotus F1 all set for 2010 season!

bahrain-grand-prixBy 3am on Saturday morning Lotus Racing had finally finished packing up the six airfreight boxes needed for the journey to Bahrain and the beginning of the 2010 Formula One™ season.  Two cars and a 60-strong team have now made their way to the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Bahrain International Circuit for the first race of much anticipated 2010 season.

On 12th September 2009 Lotus Racing gained entry onto the grid. As the team gears up for the first Grand Prix, the whole team, including the drivers Jarno Trulli and Heikki Kovalainen, remain upbeat and honest about their expectations for the first few races. Trulli commented, “It would be nice to score a point, but it is not going to be easy. We have to be realistic.”

Kovalainen says comments "Out Of Context"

Heikki-Kovalainen_2422128Heikki Kovalainen insists his comments comparing Lotus with F1's defunct perennial backmarkers Minardi have been "taken out of context".

Kovalainen stated that the quotes published by Finland's Turun Sanomat this week as saying his new T127 car is "missing more aerodynamically" than the Minardi he tested at Vallelunga in late 2003 were "taken out of context" and the reports are therefore "not fair for our team".

He has endeavoured to make clear on Twitter today, that the quotes associated to the Lotus T127 and bring some clarity to what he was trying to convey.
