I also gona rebuild the hole shift mecanim because of the sloppy feeling.
Any with pics of the shift mecanism at rear of the gearbox from a V8 newer than 1998?
I belive they came up with a better solution in that time.
Very fast road and trackday car.
GT3076R+ a lot of other modifications.

Here is the gear lever end of things which might help.
[Edit] Hmm, I can't seem to stop this image from looking black, however there is a link near the top which works if you can find it.
Espritism are also threatening to develop an improved linkage kit for post 98 models towards the end of this year so it might be worth checking with them for an update. Here's the link to what they have already I am interested to see what they produce too.

BTW are you based in Stavanger Norway? I just have a hunch you might be, I do some work for Statoil occasionally so maybe we could have a beer sometime if you are?
I have a long gearbox saga too which I will report fully soon. Interestingly I have a spare box I bought from Mike Sekinger (hi Mike) with the Quaife ATB installed. I had this modified with the Derek Bell upgrade by Jack Knights before they went bust. Unfortunately they must have known they were going bust as they paid no attention to getting anything right. Derek Bell has been an absolute saint and worked extremely hard to repair the mistakes they made in manufacturing. I hope to have it on the road in a few weeks to test and I hope it works properly now.
Either way I cannot thank Derek enough for his time and comitment to helping me resurrect what could have been a very expensive dead box, he is a top bloke.
cheers

Thank this helped a lot. There are some pretty good images on the ´V8 Build Record´that LEW put together:
Hope these help.
I`m about to buy a kit from http://www.brookecars.co.uk/
But this will not fit in the rear so this V8 parts in the rear will be better and save me some work.
