For Sale / Wanted

As much as I'd love to offer this as a free service, I think it would be a good way to bring some revenue into LEF from you guys to pay the bills so a small fee will be charged. When enough is made I'll be purchasing some software which allows you to sell items a la ebay with auctions/fixed price sales/feedback and so on but this is expensive so will have to wait for now.
Minimum fee: £1
Maximum fee: £10
The fee will be 3% of the value of the item you sell and is a listing fee, not a sales fee. If your item is 'open to offers' then please base your fee on what you think is a fair price for the item. The fee is per item, not per advert and ads will stay online for 90 days.
Wanted adverts are free but in fairness if you do sell a part in response to a wanted advert then a voluntary payment would be appreciated.
In the new sections, post your for sale advert and send your payment via paypal to forum@lotusespritforum.com As soon as the payment is received your advert will become live (it will be there but unapproved until payment is received!) and stay for 90 days or you wish it removed or the item is sold in the meantime. Please let me know if you wish your advert to be a 'closed' topic ie not a discussion topic. If you place an ad and don't pay the fee your 'invisible' post will be removed after 5 days.
ETA - There are more and more people using LEF to sell their cars for free. Please note that as of now, there is a £10 flat fee to advertise your car for sale. Any posts from now offering a car for sale either placed in the wrong section or unpaid for will be removed without notice.
LEF does not under any circumstances give any warranty or other insurance as to the functionality, operation or quality of the items advertised for sale. Nor does it give any warranty or assurance for the accuracy, legality or completeness of the advertisments appearing on this site. Access to the site may be interrupted, delayed or restricted due to outside circumstances for which LEF disclaims all responsibility.
Advertisers are wholly responsible for ensuring that any material submitted for inclusion on LEF is within all the current laws and regulations. LEF takes takes no responsibility for inaccuracies, errors, omissions or discrimination in advertising material.

I hope the sections are utilised and we'll see a lot of parts back in circulation, it's win/win for everyone having it on here I think

Its the paypall charges that annoy me - sold two items and had to pay them 12 quid this week for two transactions to collect money and for doing what?Ebay is 7.5% and uncapped I think so it's cheaper on here and ebay don't really help the Esprit community much last time I checked.

Then there's the card payment fees, which I think are in the region of 2.5% (depending on the agreement they have with the car clearance bank).
Don't get me wrong, I don't like PayPal, I've only recently finished a dispute with them over a relatively small amount £20. But they annoyed me so much I was ready to go to the ombudsman. I even set them deadlines which I knew were tight (based on their own internal deadlines for getting stuff done)- they met them when it really counted.
Bibs, have you considered Nochex? or one of the other electronic money transfer systems?

2 211s and a 1990 se turbo.
The 211s appear at first glance to have been for sale since 7 February 2009 ( 07-02-2009 ) and the se turbo since 7 January 2009 ( 07-01-09 )
This led me to the conclusion that the date format was American.
Now I don't have anything against our fellow people across the pond - but we have always used dd-mm-yy.
If you want to be international then yy-mm-dd would be better!!
