Hey Guys

Thought I'd ask you guys and see if any of you had a spare(straight) front wheel hanging around.

Previous owner of mine clouted a kerb hard and bent the rim :o ARSE!!

Going to be getting all the others refurbed but there seems to be very few people who want to take on a bent wheel.

I've found one or two specialists who say it can be safely done, just wantred to check here first!

Cheers in advance

Simon

Hi

Spotted a front BBS wheel off an S3 on ebay...

http://cgi.ebay.co.u...1QQcmdZViewItem

If the link doesn't work then search for "Lotus Esprit S3 BBS Front Wheel & Tyre".

Good luck

Hi Guys

Cheers for that, I had seen that one but unfortunately its not an S3 BBS rim, similar but not the same.

Looks like that one is supposed to have a screw on centre cap.

Bit miffed that its being wrongly described cause I did get my hopes up :o

BBS wsheels are hard to get these days. So either refurbish the old one or try SJ-Sportcars...or lotusbits.com

Good luck!

Last autumn's Historic Race some guy tried to sell the set of BBS wheels to me. He didn't say the prize. He had bought those for his BMW and then he noticed they were Esprit's wheels, they are new and in boxes. Anyone know value of those? I wasn't interested cause I have perfect wheels but I have his phone number if anyone is interested.

Have had alloy rims welded/ straightened many times, and Im sure you will have no problems if you get a pro to do them :)

As far as used stuff goes, dont go buying any more bent ones!, either inspect VERY carefully or get money back guarantee (ebay lot) :)

Simon

We often have motorcycle rims repaired, and we have never had a problem afterwards. Have it fixed and don't even think of it again. A reputable shop will do a back-to-new job.

Good luck
Duncan
