There has been a general rumblng for a time that as a region LEGS have more Evora's than most available. Also a rumbling that we should maybe try for a group shot of the different colours to celebrate the fact the Graeme was an active wee bugger in seperating us from our spondoolies before he left for greater things. We have already managed a poor night shot with 4 spontaneously, so getting more shouldn't be too difficult.

SO as a start, who is likely to be up for joining in a group hug sometime in the summer with their Evora, and what colour combo do you have? At thispoint I am not posting a date partly because 2 of us who will participate with non duplicated colours work offshore so will take some co-ordination. At this time lets just have volunteers and we can focus on dates later. I have taken a liberty wth some of the names listed as I do not know you are willing but I do know you are active LEGS men (& Women) and been out for other things.

One of my sons is a Graphic Designer / Photographer type and lover of cars so I am sure will gladly take the required shots with his fancy camera and edit accordingly if required.

Copy and paste this list and add your name if interested. (If I've added you and you aren't happy then just remove yourself and no hard feelings. If your colour combo is there already, add yourself anyway, as the other one may not be available on the day and anyway you can never have toooo many Evoras can you??

I think there is something like 25 or 28 Evoras in all Scotland so far and we have at least 10 easily counted on the Forum. I know of another Aquamarine outside Glasgow who isn't on Forum and we know of another yellow in Aberdeen so 50% coverage isn't bad going. We may be able to get Monty (Craig) or Brandon along with whatever Demo is on the go as well if we speak nicely.

One final thing. Ideas for location of this shoot? Remembering we have to get up to 12 cars maybe in shot and it may be horrible on the day knowing our climate! Aslo the majority are Central belt based so we probably don't want too far into the sticks west or way up north.

The "Where" is the problem. Background (open countryside)? On grass (easy)? On tarmac (difficult)?

By the way son has his creative juices flowing and thinking of ideas but will also take plenty of high resolution shots on the day of individuals cars as well to send you out individually.

One of his ideas is if we could get a 30 mins window at Knockhill some Saturday or Sunday is to form a grid of Evora's. That isn't as easy as it sounds as the track is in use 360 days a year. As I marshal there a lot I will ask next time I am over. I know a few of the staff well. He can shoot down from the Bridge as well as we can have almost anything in the paddock on tar almost definitely. My idea of a nice view point he was pointing out to me takes away from the cars and the point of the shoot which was the colours. Better a monochrome background like tar or grass. At knockhill we can maybe get some racing type props quite easily. Just another idea into the pot.

Hmmm, good idea there Bibs. Knockhill themselves may have something for all their buildings although the track bridge has a TV camera point above head height as you cross which is used for BTCC etc. and is fairly high.

Thanks for letting me know. There used to be another husband & wife pairing down south with a LE Evora. They never post these days. Senior & Bolly Girl. Their forum banter against each other was funny as she worked away from home a lot midweek. I am just glad my wife isn`t on here or I'd be dead meat!

Look forward to meeting you out and about sometime on a run or whatever. We had a fair turn out of wives and partners on last months Breakfast Club.

Do you think one of you would be interested in joining the colours shoot when we eventually get it together later in the summer?

Ive just joined the TheLotusForums as the proud new own of an Evora, having moved over from a V8 Vantage. Id be up for the photo shoot but also work offshore so dont know about timing. As for colours mines a Laser Blue with an Oyster interior. Shes off to PolishedBliss in a few weeks as it looks like her first owner tried to clean her with a brillo pad!!

Welcome to the forum.
If you are interested in joining us on one of our runs then pop me a PM with your details and I will add you to the LEGS group and you will then receive emails to advise you of our runs.
If you are working offshore I take it you live in the Aberdeen area. We have a few members up in that neck of the woods.
Our next LEGS run on 17th April is from the Central Belt up to Castle Fraser on Deeside to meet up with a group of Aberdeen Lotus owners.

He is just jealous of our open and empty roads and has a Scottish Evora complex . Hopefully meet you at something soon. This job offshore would be great if it wasn`t for the bit between the leaves eh? What sort of rota and where in the world do you work?

I am hoping to be in a position soon where I can plan my life ahead again as I am in a transition period presently. After that I will try and set a date with as much warning as possible for planning passes from family duties. I`ll ask at Knockhill in a couple of weeks when there about availability as first choice.
