Thinking about getting this: http://www.classicca...hp/carno/130430

It is located in Stafford. Is anyone local willing to take a look at the car? I'd be happy to repay with a (reasonable) gift from the TLF store. That way everybody (including TLF) wins :-)

Thanks in advance for your help. :unworthy:

What sort of info do you want? I am not far away as is Graham (Backmarker).

I could take a look but my technical knowledge is not what I would call expert but I could look at the usual.

Hi Dave

I am not an expert mechanic either. Just looking for someone to have a quick chat with the owner and, as you say, look at the usual. If you're up for it, drop me a PM and we can discuss details.

thanks so much!

Matt is in Northants, not sure how far away that is but he's knows the cars inside out and upside down.

It's Newcastle-under-lyme rather than Stafford.

I'm about 5 miles away and would happily have a look for your.

Mechanically, I'm useless but I can question the owner and generally cast an eye over the car if you wish.

Regards,

Graham

Looks like it's seen some action! The ad says it's a renault engined car but the body's a twincam shape, a bit odd that.

Dave,

More than happy with that idea mate.

You'll be passing my front door to get there so I'll let you pick me up

Hi Graham and Dave,

Thanks so much. I sent a message to Graham but the system didn't let me send one immediately afterwards to Dave. I'll try later.
