Hi Guys
Lotus esprit S4S 1995
Anyone point me in the right direction as to how to remove the front side/indicator light module.
Im trying to replace the lens covers but the one on the left hand has the screws seized up and wont come out. So I need to take the module out completely.
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated as usual.

No?
All we know is that when they stop making this, we will be properly, properly sad.Jeremy Clarkson on the Esprit.

On my car, which is different to yours (but may work on the same principle), the screws to remove the unit are tucked away behind the bulbs so you need to remove the cover and the bulb to remove the unit. If yours are the same, ^ he's onto the right answer!

Ameer,
Electric drill and drill the heads off the light cover screws. Take it easy and you'll be able to get the cover off without damaging it, though if you're replacing them, it doesn't mater if you damage them. Then you can either take the module out to remove the seized screws or possibly even remove them while the module is in the car.

Here's a removed pic for reference (if that's of any help what so ever)

I'd carefully dremel the heads off so that you can at least get the cover off and work from there. What Mr. Ramjet said above. :-)

Dril it, look under the rubber as mine had a rivet on each side as well as the screw. If you need the whole lot out it's either bumper off or break the back section it and take out and glue it once back in a bit extreme but the bumper can be a bitch to get off

Been there done that on my S4s. It is bumper off I'm afraid to get the actual unit out beyond the indicator lens. NOT a fun job, especially if you have rusted bolts/screws underneath. I used the opportunity to replace everything with stainless.
Then you have the fun of getting everything off...which means unbolting some of the ABS components in order to get your hands into extremely limited space areas. If you have big hands, this will make it even more of a PITA. I will advise making that your last resort for a lens change. Drill the screws and just be super careful.
Figure at least a half day without any drama. Since the only other cars that I know of that used these were the McLaren F1, best not to get crazy with the tools.
