So I saw a link on a website (joystiq I think) to sign up to see if you could be a beta tester for SWTOR.  So I got accepted...  However They won't let me play till Friday!

I tried World of Warcraft a few years ago (only due to a girlfriend, and then quit playing after we broke up), I guess I'm more of a single player gamer, don't really care about MMORPGSSSS.  But I do like Star Wars...

Anyone else?

yeah..... I guess I´ll be giving it a go as well :-) but I´ll wait till the final release. Got way to many thing - and games - at the moment, but come December 20th I´ll be picking up my blaster and getting into my Storm Tropper armor, or perhaps some inquisitor robes - hmmm decisions...

If there´s more people in here, that plans to play this come, then it might be fun to try and team up on the same server?

I felt the beta was too much like World of Warcraft, so I didn't buy the game when it came out.

Id rather they came out with "Grand theft Bantha" or "Jedi Assassins Creed" or something like that.

I know Kimbers is playing SWTOR.

There was a thread a while back where we found a member who had not seen Star Wars, and they were old enough to have watched all of them at the cinema the first time around!
I think you are probably right having the time on your hands. (2 of us have built full size replicas of R2D2 )

I'm too sucked into Skyrim currently.

Skyrim only worked for my the first 10-15 hours.. after that I got tired of the "lonely" world - it looks and acts like an MMO, but I started missing other players :-) might sound strange, but I love grouping up and doing instances/flashpoints and PvP

Yeah, am level 35 now. As I am such a subtle person (arf) I am a Caommando with heavy weaponry. Basically just blast everything Its a good game and my kids love it. Does it have the depth of WoW? No, not yet. The space fights (when you get your ship) are pretty basic and Space is not a free roamer. I do like having a team with me, of non player characters who help you fight/heal etc.

I dunno. I may go back to WoW soon and return when the game is better developed and with less bugs.

I don't like all the whiny teens on the MMORPGs....

Like Skyrim for that reason.

Anyone else feel that the latest Assassin's Creed had too short of a single player story, and too much emphasis on the online play?
Same thing goes for MW3, which was waaaaay too short.

Still playing Assassins Creed revelations. It is a bit samey to the previous game - renovation - send assassins out etc but its still a good game. I am about to get the latest Uncharted game - Drake's deception. If it is anything like the previous it should be a good one.

Only at lvl 27, as Ive mostly been playing PvP. Like being an operative, cause I prefer healing to dealing dam:).
It's not as immersive as WoW... But it's still pretty good:) we'll see if I stick with it.
