Following my cars MOT yesterday I've got an advisory on the rear pads as well as one for the fronts ( I knew this was likely) is there a good source of replacements? I've read through the various posts and would like to get an updated point of view. Plus my front disks are showing signs of wear and I want to keep the look (drilled) the same as the rear AP's again is it worth swallowing the cost of Lotus replacements as I have no idea what the actual cost is. This is looking like a very expensive year for my Esprit as I'm also looking at final edition suspension and polybushes so may replace the discs as well then get it tracked at Wheels in motion just the once.

I'm sure the AP pads are good, are you having any fade problems with them?

With regards the rotors, they're about £1,800 from Lotus. If you'd go to slotted rather than drilled, I've sourced a direct replacement AP casting for around £500, quiet a saving!

Thanks Bibs its a case of the MOT people being a bunch of bloody jobsworths, The pitting is on the bell housing which is miniscule I've just checked with a vernier and the front discs are 31mm thick, on closer examination at some time the previous owner has allowed the pads to run a bit low as there are a few grooves running through both discs. I called South West Lotus who do a service grinding them flat and polishing for £70 a disc so I'll probably go down that route (forgive the pun) as they have quoted a good price to replace front and rear pads and to do the discs at the same time makes sense to me.
