Hi, I'm not fair off getting my S2 painted, did the S2 come with the pinstripe as standard or was it an option, or do people not put it back any more? I've seen a few variations with and without, would love to know if it was a standard item as I think I would like to reinstate mine? Thanks, Charlie;-)

It was standard, if it's missing it's probably been resprayed. I hope you put it back on as it looks awesome

Esprit S2 - when you look this good, you don't need a turbo.

I think optional as it was a sticker. Maybe someone with an original sales brochure might be able to say?

Think I'm going to put it back, in fact I can see a faint impression (on my current paint) where it must have originally been on my S2. All good, thanks guys.

Cheers, I've already ordered the stripe and will reapply it when the car is painted next month. Thanks again.

Every S2 in the original sales brochure has the pinstripes. The S1s don't, possibly people remove them to look more like Bond?!

Personally, I think the body of the car looks better without any of the fussy items (IMO) of the stripe and sills in black. I left them off following my respray.

My view is that it is easily added if someone wants the car back in the original finish.
