It's been almost 8 years since I pulled the engine, and now I'm starting to put everything back together. My cam housing is back on the block and I'm starting to bolt things back to the block.
There is a note in the manual about not applying thread locking compound to the cam housing to cylinder head studs. I assume this means all fasteners (there are 4 studs, the rest are bolts). Or does it just mean the studs, and that I should be using a thread locker for the bolts?
What about all the other bolts for the block? Should I be using a thread locker for everything?

In an ideal world you'd like to thread lock everthing to stop it shaking loose.
However, alli as you know is v soft, and threads are easily damaged if swarf from a previous builds thread lock isn't completely removed.
