Hi all,

I am getting code p0108 every couple of weeks (high map)
The code can appear at only 50% throttle openings
I have checked the connections to the map sensor, the sensor has been replaced ,both waste gates are working
Has anyone had this code and traced it to problems elsewhere?

Thanks

Dave

I have not ever seen this error code, but it is a logical conection check by the ECU. The ECU thinks the output wire from the Map SENSOR is at a voltage point greater than 4.90 volts D.C. The reference voltage to the Map sensor is 5.0 volts D.C. I suspect that the Map sensor has an intermittent internal connection to ground or the ground wire to the MAP is going open. The Map sensor is just a variable resistor one end tied to 5.0 volts D.C. the other end to ground and the "swinger" is the output signal.

Thanks for you're input Wayne
I am assuming the 4.90volts is proportional to a given amount of pressure in the plenum which is seen to be to high
At ignition on the MAP and BARO values agree, the MIL is only set during the mid to high RPM range.
It's a shame the later dash has no boost gauge as I would have a clearer picture of what is happening under the plenum

Dave,
You need to download Peters free V8 software for use with a PC. It will tell you most everything you need to know.
