Why do people do this? There's a women I see around here driving round in a bright pink 1 series convertible with huge black graphics up the side looking like one of those mid-noughties tattoos. She must be in her 50s.

They do it because it looks cool. :B)

Well, to them anyway.
All we know is that when they stop making this, we will be properly, properly sad.Jeremy Clarkson on the Esprit.
Opinions are like armpits. Everyone has them, some just stink more than others.

£1950 for an early Elan will seem like a hell of a bargain in a few years time.

I know they're not universally liked but they will be a collector's car... one day.

I think the Elan M100 Looks get better every year as cars generally get bigger. Also the iIsuzu Engine seems to proven its self as a pretty reliable power plant. Quick little open top car with great handling... what's not to like?

The design doesn't seem to age. Looks a good price and I guess the graphics will peel off.

Does seem crazy cheap. I've always loved the M100.

Obviously, the oil cooler lines have failed, and the oil spewing from the RF wheel arch has ignited.
