Due to financial necessity I sold the Esprit yesterday and it was bought by a guy in Norwich who's had TVR's and kit cars previously. I'm not looking forward to seeing it out and about but hopefully I'll get another in a year or so and in the meantime I'm looking for something cheap for a while to get around in

Future question:

What sort of Lotus do you think you'll be looking at next? Another Esprit? Evora? Or wait for something from the new range perhaps?
All we know is that when they stop making this, we will be properly, properly sad.Jeremy Clarkson on the Esprit.

Newts,
Is it anyone the locals may already know? From the description you gave it sounded like me at first!

When is it coming in? I may be interested myself - the Focus is out of favour at the mo.

It'll be with me in a week or so Ged. I bought it for my daughter but then I found her a KA. It'll have 12 months MOT, the dealer told me its immaculate and they won't sell me anything thats rubbish because I buy hundreds of cars off them a year :)

Thanks guys. In the short term its a £1000/£1200 car, maybe an Elan protoge (MX-5) but hopefully in a year or so anther Esprit or if I cant stretch that far an M100 Elan. Proper pissed off and really missing it but at the end of the day its an indulgance and an asset which I had to cash in. :-(

You must be heart broken. Why not look at an Excel SE, they are still going for a good price. An exceedingly undervalued car IMHO.
