I am not a big fan of Red Bull but i respect them totally.
I think that they are competitive and innovative and because the rule says x ,it is an interpretation in many instances .It therefore stands to reason that i will try get every advantage i can to win.
What if they try something and it brings success ,,,,that is interpreted to be "within the regulations" ...they they are good.
En route to the victory ,let us not cast a stone until we are within their shoes.

Technically sound ...Theoretically poked !

Not that Lotus has ever stretched the rules in its racing days.

Pete,
My favorite rules "interpretation" was in NASCAR here in the States. The capacity of the fuel cells was highly regulated. One extra lap without refueling was a major advancement. The car in question won the race on that "extra" lap and ran out of fuel during its victory lap. The car was pushed to victory circle. At the conclusion of the formalities, the crew started the car up and drove it back to the garages. Seems the roll cage had been used as part of the fuel cell. Dangerous? Of course. Creative? You bet! Love to see some of the creative ways racing teams come up with to put their driver in a better position. My hat's off to Red Bull.

I'm also not a fan of Red Bull but I think pushing the rules to the limits (and beyond them) help make Formula 1 exciting. If everyone was conservative it would be boring. I find it interesting that Red Bull has been bombarded by these various allegations. I wonder who tipped the FIA.
