What happened to the Lotus noise suppression system where where they had a unit that took in the noise the vehicle was making & then produced the exact opposite noise so canceling all noise out??

I understood that it would only be a matter of a few years before every car audio system would have that built into it.

I remember seeing that on tomorrows world. However like you have not seen anything of it since.

The last one I fitted was a cobra in the 1980s to an astra.  Seem to remember it was pretty straight forward, you might have to buy modules to close windows but it wasnt rocket science.

The relay in the bottom photo doesnt show in the parts manual but could it be part of the control with the throttle jack solenoid to boost revs when the ac turns on.

I have a setrab one supplied by SJs.  It fits straight in the original mocol mounting holes but  has 2 male to male fittings to connect to OEM hoses.  This makes it is easier to get a spanner onto the cooler fittings to disconnect them from the hose fittings at a later date.  From memory the SJs price was pretty good as well.
However mine is the 325mm single central fitting n/a cooler so yours will be different.
