GT3 Removable roof panel

13 May 2012 - 10:00 AM

I was wondering if anyone does an after market glass roof for a GT3?
I like the solid roof but thought it would be a nice change to have the glass one from time to time.
Failing that, if anyone has a glass roof that they dont use anymore then get in touch please.

Hampden here we come!

14 April 2012 - 06:33 AM

So it's semi final day in the Scottish Cup and Aberdeen are playing Hibernian (Hibs) at Hampden.
That's Fraser and I on one of the Aberdeen FC supporters buses now and just heading off to Glasgow.
There is a great buzz on the bus and we are hoping for a good result.
It's also Fraser's 19th birthday today so a win  will be a great start to his day.
Wish us luck. 😄

Wanted: Pair of Dellorto DHLA 45’s

08 March 2012 - 12:12 PM

I am looking for a pair of Dellorto DHLA 45’s for an Esprit.

Does anyone have a pair available for sale or that they would be happy to swap for DHLA 48’s.
They would need to be in good condition and have all the necessary linkages, fittings etc. for the Esprit.

I am guessing they would have to come off an Esprit rather than something like a Peugeot 205GTi??????

Lotus are using my car for testing at the moment so I would like to get a set of carbs ASAP so that they dont get held up.

See Forum thread for more details

Thanks
Gordon

Zenit ES Photo Sniper

12 February 2012 - 10:30 PM

Many years back i bought a camera from a friend of mine ..... mainly because it looked dead cool.
I came accross it the other day and wondered how rare these things are?

Hand held speed gun....not a great start to the new year?

04 January 2012 - 08:22 PM

I was driving  along a dual carriageway today (70 mph speed limit) and there from behind the grass verge there was a couple of guys in yellow jackets pointing a hair drier at me.Posted Image

I was driving an Audi A4 with a digital speedo and when i looked down it was reading 86 mph
I have no doubt that the gun had been on me for a few seconds before i saw it but he did lower the gun as i approached.

I am sure there are various versions of these detectors and different processes adopted by different police forces but whats your experience on these things?

So.......a few questions.

1...For a 70 mph dual carriageway what speeds have people been done for in the past... i am assuming the speed limit plus around 10%.... 77- 80 mph?

2...Would you normally be pulled over either by the police at the location or by another car further on if they were interested?

3...Do these mobile guns record enough info (number plate, speed, time etc to deal with the paperwork after the event?

4...What would you put the odds at for a happy outcome??
