This model of the Lotus type 79 is one of a Limited Edition of 199 hand-made models showing the car exactly as it raced in the Dutch GP at Zandvoort on August the 27th 1978

This model shows the Lotus 79 exactly as it was raced in the 1978 Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort, where Mario Andretti took the chequered flag and victory just ahead of Ronnie Peterson. It is available in both Mario and Ronnie versions; best get the pair then.

Classic Team Lotus gave Amalgam access to 79/2 and 79/3 within the Works Collection; combined with the availability of all the original design drawings it was possible to gather the data necessary to create a really accurate model in such large scale. The end result is breathtakingly beautiful; just like the real thing!
