Lotus F1 – Back in front testing on day 1 in Barcelona

Lotus F1 Team returned to the track today for the first of four days testing at the Circuit de Catalunya near Barcelona, Spain. Romain Grosjean took the wheel of the modified E20 completing 73 laps and setting the fastest time of the day. Lotus F1 head home from Barcelona testing

2012 Formula One Jerez Test Day Four

Lotus F1 Team will not run for the remainder of the second test at Barcelona, scheduled from today until Friday. During initial runs this morning with Romain Grosjean at the wheel, the team identified an issue with the chassis. After investigation at Enstone, initial plans to bring out chassis E20-01 to Barcelona have been held in order to give the team enough time to rectify the situation. Team LoTRDC complete the Barcelona 24 Hours with class-leading pace

Team LoTRDC completed the Barcelona 24 Hour race last weekend (24-25 September), lasting the distance with the oldest and lowest-powered car, in addition to the smallest budget of the field. With a team picked from Elise Trophy and Lotus Cup drivers, mechanics and administrators and prepared by Essex Autosport, they repeated their finish at Dubai earlier this year. Vitaly remained in the R31 for day two of the Barcelona test as he clocked up 115 laps to demonstrate a clear step forward in terms of the car’s overall reliability. The final pre-season test got underway in Barcelona today. Nick drove this morning, but was suffering with a cold, so Vitaly took over for the afternoon.
