Proton – “Lotus not for sale”

There have been many reports in the press since the weekend that Genii Capital are due to either invest in a stake of, or indeed take over Group Lotus from owners Proton. This appears to have hit a nerve in Malaysia and Proton have issued the following statement. The world’s media got their first glimpse of Lotus Renault GP’s 2011 challenger this afternoon as the R31 was presented in the pit lane of the Circuit de la Comunitat Valenciana Ricardo Tormo.
