Lotus Renault GP got both cars in the top ten in qualifying, which must have come as a relief after all the head-scratching in Singapore? It was uncomfortable to watch the pace in Singapore. They weren’t as competitive as they should have been, but things were back on track in Suzuka. Qualifying was impressive, and this is at one of the most demanding circuits ever built. LRGP – Japanese GP Race Report

LRGP took ninth position in the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka, showing renewed pace from the R31 after the setback of Singapore. Vitaly Petrov made a late blast on option tyres to take points whilst Bruno Senna finished in 16th. • Vitaly stopped on laps 18 and 39, using a medium, medium, soft strategy. • Bruno stopped on laps 15 and 35, using a medium, medium, soft strategy. • At the end of the first lap, Vitaly was in 10th position and Bruno 13th. • A safety car period started on lap 25, early in both drivers’ second stints on medium tyres.
