This weekend saw the latest dealership in the UK network open it's doors to Lotus owners, future customers and enthusiasts. With a full complement of the current range of Lotus cars available to test drive, Lotus sent ex-F1 driver and Brand Ambassador Martin Donnelly to accompany customers and offer real hands-on advice on what these cars were capable of. LoTRDC hold 2012 awards at Brands Hatch

On Saturday 2nd March LoTRDC held their annual UK awards night at Brands Hatch. After a well supported pre-season track day drivers and teams retired to the Stirling Suite for an evening of light hearted award presentations hosted jointly by LoTRDC’s Richard Short and Martin Donnelly. LoTRDC stalwart Steve Williams will team up with former Lotus Formula One driver Martin Donnelly in an Evora for a joint assault on the Lotus Cup UK title. Williams, whose eponymous garage business will build and prepare the car, is taking advantage of the new GTN kit offered by the Norfolk manufacturer. Lotus owner and enthusiasts clubs were invited to send representatives to visit the Lotus factory in Hethel and the Lotus Renault GP facilities at Enstone to catch up on what the companies have been working towards of late and to gain an exclusive insight into the inner workings of a competitive and successful current F1 team. Team Lotus Type 102 Is Back On Track

The 1990 F1 Team Lotus Type 102 (chassis 4) owned by British enthusiast Andrew Morris, has been restored to running condition by Classic Team Lotus. Classic Team Lotus's Lead Mechanic for the project Lewis Cullington has restored the car to 'race ready' condition with the chassis being completely stripped and all parts tested as appropriate. The 3.5l V12 Lamborghini engine was acquired ex Works by Team Lotus before being fitted with up to date Motec engine management prior to extensive dyno testing in the UK.
