French contenders win first rounds of Lotus Cup Europe

Xavier Georges and Christophe Lisandre shared the spoils in the Lotus Cup Europe season-opener at Hockenheim this weekend (21-23 April), upholding French honour at the German Grand Prix venue. The FIA International Series supported the annual Hockenheim Historic – Jim Clark Revival meeting, racing in front of a big crowd. Brooke edges Hannam to claim second Lotus Cup UK Speed Championship title

The Lotus Cup UK Speed Championship season reached an exciting climax at Brands Hatch on 29 October, with the Production championship up for grabs between frontrunner Nigel Hannam and 2014 overall champion Xavier Brooke. With its iconic status, vast motorsport heritage and famous sweeping Paddock Hill bend, Brands Hatch was the ideal location for a showdown. Lotus Cup Europe 2017 provisional calendar released

The 2017 Lotus Cup Europe provisional calendar has been released, and the FIA International Series will visit seven of the continent's classic circuits in Germany, Belgium, France and the United Kingdom. Lotus Cup Europe will continue a tradition of supporting prestigious events, commencing with the annual Hockenheim Historic meeting in Germany in April. Packer doubles up in Le Mans for Lotus Cup Europe

Britain’s Jon Packer celebrated a brace of victories at this weekend’s (8/9 October) final rounds of the 2016 Lotus Cup Europe season, but could not prevent race two winner, France’s Xavier Georges from taking the V6 Cup class title. Packer’s Evora stormed into the lead in the opening race from surprise polesitter, Sweden’s Tommie Eliasson, and Georges, both in Exiges, who would eventually take second place. Georges celebrates a double whilst Vizin takes 2016 title at Zolder in Lotus Cup Europe

Xavier Georges scored a brace of overall victories at Zolder this weekend (17/18 September), whilst Tamas Vizin became the provisional Lotus Cup Europe champion with a perfect score in the Production class. Steve Williams enjoys another double at Brands Hatch

Following his first Evora wins at Spa-Francorchamps in July, Britain’s Steve Williams added another brace of victories at Brands Hatch this weekend (27-28 August), when Lotus Cup Europe headlined the Lotus Festival for the championship’s second UK round. Double win for Steve Williams in Lotus Cup Europe Spa Francorchamps

Britain’s Steve Williams made a long-awaited return to the top step of the podium when Lotus Cup Europe visited Spa-Francorchamps this weekend (8/9 July), taking a clean sweep of victories at the Belgian Grand Prix venue. Packer returns to victory lane at Silverstone in Lotus Cup Europe

Jonathan Packer returned to the front of the Lotus Cup Europe field at Silverstone last weekend (4/5 June). Racing on home turf, Packer set pole position and won both races, but the Evora driver was made to work for his double after a huge fight in the second encounter. After an off-colour weekend at Paul Ricard, Packer bounced back to edge out French rival Xavier Georges in qualifying. Classic wins for Team Lotus at Monaco Historic

The event attracts entrants from all over the World, wanting the chance to race their classic F1 cars at the most famous circuit in the World, two weeks before the modern Grand Prix. Lap times are comparable to the speeds set by the heroes of yesteryear. Being Monaco, just the race entry fee is €5,000; even so, applications are heavily oversubscribed. Lotus Cup Europe – Class war at Paul Ricard

Three different drivers claimed the spoils at this weekend’s (14-15 May) rounds of Lotus Cup Europe at the former French Grand Prix venue Paul Ricard in the South of France. The FIA International Series supported the Coupe de France Camions truck racing championship in front of a huge crowd in gloriously sunny conditions.
