Hello all, like many young James Bond fans, i have always dreamt of owning an Esprit. When an S3 came up for sale, very close to home, i had to have a look. The previous owner had spent many thousands sorting it, as well as a complete respray. He needed to sell to make room for an AC Cobra replica, so i bit the bullet. I've made a few small mods here and there, a new android headunit, remote central locking and a reversing camera, with more to come. I took some shots by the Forth Rail Bridge as it was a rare sunny day in Scotland. Simon I also own a white S1.

I've nearly finished my restoration of 505H and I'm having a few teething issues. Firstly I had a new disc from SJ that was warped, had it machined true, was 0.1 out on one side and 0.2 out on the other.....brakes work fine now. Then I had some slack in the UJ's on one side and a bit of play in the rear wheel bearing. It took 10 tons of pressure to get the stub axle out! all sorted now. The final issue I'm having is the cooling system. I have all new hoses, 74 degree stat (I've checked it in boiling water. I flushed the original radiator which was in great shape. I've fitted 3 new fans and the otter switch is working as it should. The thermostat starts t…

In the spirit of the Happy and the Unhappy threads, comes this one. I'll go first. Watching a car on the way home doing the ol' 'duck 'n weave' to get further along in the traffic. I just kept tootling along in the left hand lane and about three sets of traffic lights later, I came to a stop no less than four cars in front of him. Traffic lights. The great rush hour equaliser.

Hi all I'm actively looking for a S1 Evora. I am open to any 2+2 S1 cars from early NA launch edition cars through to S sports racers. The key thing I'm looking for is a well maintained, enthusiast owned car and ideally in a brighter colour . I love solar yellow so that would be would be my preference but again will consider any brighter colours. If you are thinking of selling your car then please ping me a message. Thanks Trev

TLF Stickers

We're working with the ace Dan @ Devine Handcraft to get some TLF stickers made up. Each one is a guaranteed 2.0034 hp so well worth the trouble. Which ones do we like? There's also a sunstrip in the works... 1 & 4 are just the sticker, 2 & 3 are a white background too. All are external decals, no self cling inside ones as they're not ideal to make/use. Vote for your favourite!

Is it wise to put all "our" faith in electric only cars which will require probably 25 million charging stations minimum from 11 thousand today. Shouldn't we also be looking at other alternatives hydrogen maybe or even liquid nitrogen :- https://dearman.co.uk/dearman-technologies/dearman-engine/

Good morning, and thanks for Having me as a forum member and for reading this thread. Recently brought my Evora S (2010) privately. Drove well the first day, second day I sat in it for a few mins before starting (fans and stereo running)by the time I come to switch on battery is flat. I’m thinking the battery must have dreadful capacity. Sure enough 11.2V so I put it on charge over night must remember to start up straight away in future till I get a new battery. Next day started fine as you would expect battery was 12.7V. But when running the voltage dropped down to 12.1V at idle and would increase to 12.5V at revs (proportional to the rev speed). I tested again B+ to ear…

Hi all I'm viewing my first Lotus Evora on Thursday. It's a 2010 NA and I've been having a look round for some buyers guide info. From what I can see there doesn't seem to be much to worry about on these cars so I've complied myself a little checklist for the day. I'd welcome any additions on what to look out fo Check for any slack in the gear change. Slack, hestitaion or reluctance may require further investigation Check for lacquer de lamination/fogging on headlamps - Around £200 to get refurbed if needed Micro blisters/osmosis. This is caused by moisture under the paint. Check around the body Check Airbag cover for signs of lifting. Can we a b…

After years of working on cars and generally not using air/power tools beyond an electric drill & sander (I think the first power tool use beyond that was to gut through door pins on the Europa Special), I've now realised that I must have been missing out on something, either that or I'm getting lazy / weak. Today I needed to free off a front calliper on an Excel, so the high torque battery impact gun came into play, it meant I could jack the car up, take the wheel off with no battle of big bar Vs wheel dragging in gravel. Then, with the calliper off (it's one 12mm head bolt and brake lines, so I used spanners). Calliper apart and then need to clean up the inside…

Desperately need help. not ashamed to admit that I am really not the best at wiring so need some help - hope this doesn’t sound dumb. I have a 71 elan plus 2 and trying to wire up the number plate lights. been told I put black from number plate light to black of the loom and same with the red. However when I do this I blow a fuse and obviously have no number plate lights. How the hell do I wire them up? Do I need an inline fuse so I don’t blow the fuse in the fuse box? Keep blowing the 15 amp fuse in the glovebox really appreciate any help

I currently have an LE Evora, which I was planning on upgrading to an Emira in the future. The issue is my two sons are now old enough to sit in the back of the Evora, and we've had a few family trips out, 4 up, in the Evora. This obviously wouldn't be possible in the Emira, which would be a shame. That lead me onto looking for alternatives, and the Evora GT410 struck me as the ideal alternative - all the things I love about my Evora, but with more power and updated styling. In my brief search I noticed there's both a GT410 and GT410 Sport and wasn't completely sure on the details. From initial searching the Sport has carbon roof and rear window and stiffer suspension at …

Can anyone tell me at what point did the 907 engine go from paper cam carrier gasket to liquid type? Is there a serial number range or is it a matter of lifting the carrier and seeing if there is an O ring between it and the head? Also, what measurement is assumed for the paper gasket thickness when calculating shim thickness?

Evora Headlights / Headlamps I'm trying to get a handle on the extent of the problems with the Evora Headlights / Headlamps with a view to seeing if we can get the Factory / OEM suppliers to provide additional support as there seems to be issues causing early failures including: Peeling of protective layers LED bulb failures Etc. As these units are sealed, replacement is hugely expensive at around £1000 / Euro 1300 and $1500 per unit. As sealed, we would expect these to have a reasonable life span of say 10 years. If you own, or have owned, an Evora, and you have had a problem with the headlights / headlamps please could you either update this topic, or PM me with the …

Being as though there's a fair amount of doom & gloom around at the moment how about focusing on the little things in life that make it better. Did you find a penny in the street, perhaps your daughter got an A in school today, maybe the other half cooked you a nice dinner, perhaps the sun shone for you today, did you finally finish that project for and get the boss off your back or maybe you just feel thankful you've got a roof over your head and food in your belly! I'm happy today because I handed my notice in at work on Monday and I've been able to tell lots more people about it today!
