I have been lucky enough to buy the Active Suspension Lotus Esprit. I have owned it for a little while and now have a loose plan going forward. Unfortunaltley someone has stolen the dash instruments and a few other bits , however the rest of the car is there including the actuators etc. I am slowly going to get the bits together, replace belts and get it started. Next will be trying to get the active side working of which I already have some good leads on who to speak to. This vehicle was recently purchased by us from a car collection along side another red Lotus Esprit S2 which is in identical condition . This is a 1979 car with only six previous owners and has only covered 60000 miles and which only can be described as in outstanding condition. This along side the red S2 are honestly the best condition ones I have ever come across. Lots of recent recommissioning work has been carried out . Selling my Esprit SE as i want to switch to another Lotus. Serious offers welcome for a quick sale. It’s a very original car that hasn’t been messed around with, it’s in great condition, drives as it should, the charge-cooled Turbo has a great kick. The Calypso red paint is excellent and the interior is very tidy also, just showing its age a little on the driver’s seat but i wouldn’t want to change the original leather. Just under a year ago it had a full C service with cambelt change.
