It's been a week now, and 50 - 100 of us test drove the Evora at the factory day last week. Unless i missed the thread it looks like nobody has any comment to make. No gushing reports or anything, was it just a tick box test drive to you? Were you (like me) happy to drive it but consider it a class and type of car you would not buy? Did you enjoy the test drive? (i did), did you get in the back?, did you get to floor it?, how did it sound to you? how did you find the brakes? acceleration? Why is there a week of nothing despite so many of us test driving a car that has produced pages and pages of threads and topics on here? Was it just one of those things????

I've been speaking with Bibs and came up with what I think is a good idea. To raise more cash why don't we print of the Charity and Factory visit weekend PDF and take it to our workplaces to try and raise some donations there? Nearly everyone on here works, so this would be a good start. I work from home so I can ask my clients, who Iam pretty pally with and also my family and friends. Ony started this morning and have raised

This year our forums are coming together for a supermeet; Esprit, 2Eleven and Evora with 250 people attending a weekend extravaganza in Norfolk. The plan is: Saturday 17th October - Visit our hotel which is about 4 miles from the factory, check in and freshen up ready for a huge fund raising visit to Cromer on the north Norfolk coast where we'll rattle tins and be met by local radio/papers etc. After this we'll return to the hotel for evening grub in our exclusive 250 person marquee for the charity auction, raffle, fun and games. Bar's open 'til late. Sunday 18th October - En masse 50+ Lotus convoy to the Lotus Factory where we'll enjoy a great day. Events…

Made it home without playing a tune with my gearbox. Thanks for your help Sparky. Mr John has ordered a new master cylinder. Thanks to Bibs and Laura for a fantastic weekend and thanks to all the guys and gals who made me feel welcome. Even though I came by myself and being a newbie I really felt part of the forum. Sue

I mentioned to several folk at the weekend that i had an odd tapping (wheel speed changable) at the front of my car when slowing down in traffic. The Elise never see's traffic jams normally so this was the first time in noticed. In case you wondered Sparky, it was the inner lead wheel weight! My megga big new brakes mean the weight could 'just' clip the caliper as the wheel turned. Strattons found it for me, and gave me Bibs and cliff a very generous look around their facilities. If i was in Norfolk then i'd be taking my car there and thats for sure. The monday at Srattons was as much a highlight of the weekend as everything else, what a refreshing dealer.

I too had car trouble which wasn't due to Lotus reliability issues (mine's been a very reliable car). One of my O2 sensors blew out when overtaking a load of cars on full boost. My Cats had been off a few times in previous weeks and the O2 sensor threads were looking a bit tired. Anyway, I was assured by a reliable sourced that they would be fine. 120 miles away from hotel and I broke down with problem. Hobbled remainder of journey to hotel carpark where I spoke to Bibs. As it happens, Sparky had a wire kit with him. Why he would pack such an item is a mystery but I am sure glad he did! After the convoy left for Cromer, I had a go of securing the O2 sensor back in by fo…

Greetings This is sooo unlike me, but - thumbing through some paperwork about 30 mins ago, stumbled upon my Esprit MoT. It expired 6 weeks ago! I'm quite disgusted with myself as I'm normally really hot on that. Anyhoo, got straight on the horn and booked in for 0800 tomorrow. Phew.

Greetings Hardly had a chance to catch up with things, so no idea what's going on! The mad Canadians and the sparkies will be setting off from Watford at a leisurely pace around 0930 tomorrow. Dunno if anyone else is around and wants to join formation on the way? Or something's already arranged and I've completely missed it? Too much rum recently, I'm afraid.

Is it just me, or does anybody else fine themselves leaving their car untill the last possible minute, to get ready for occations/trips like this weekend? Mine has not run for 3 months, and engine out the last 2. Engine went back in yesterday, lots of other 'to dos' today, re-gas this evening, cam cover paint and car wax tomorrow morning and then pick up around 7pm tomorrow evening from SWLC. Home around 8pm tomorrow night, pack car, bed and up at 4.30am Sat morning for the 350 mile trip to Norfolk. Feeling knackered already. Hope the newly fitted engine is kind to me - guessing on aprox 800 miles this weekend.

We arrived to Dunston Hall. I think we are the firsts, no Lotuses in car park. Yasuo followed us, so he must be second. Travelling was nice. Only small problem was in Sweden yesterday morning. All roads was on ice, and contitions was not so good. Fortunately everyting went ok, but the car is now dirty.
