Just traded in my Kia Stinger for an Elise 220 Sport. I love it! We’ve been in East Devon for 4 years now and I’ve only ever seen one Lotus and that was an Evora in Exeter. I’m intending to use mine a lot, so the locals will be seeing (and hearing) a lot of me.

Hi all, I’ve been a an S1 Elise owner for 7 years and was fairly active on SELOC. But then as I did research on buying an Evora, I found TLF and discovered it had soooo much more Evora content. I found out a lot from here in the last year and finally bought an Evora S Sports Racer. Thanks for all the info on here...I have been lurking and reading a lot. It has been very much appreciated. I was watching SOUP classic motoring on YouTube where he is restoring an S1 Esprit. Met Bibs on there in an interview and that’s how I discovered TLF. Anyways, I have a flat battery and need some help, please see my separate post in the Evora section. I know this is a …

Hi, i have a 2017 Exige 350 which I've been fortunate to own from new 😀 The car's used as my daily driver, although I'm home based so that doesn't mean too many miles, & for track days at my local track Donington Park. Now that the warranty's almost up, I'm going to visit Komotec for a power, brakes & LSD in April. Just can't decide whether to go for EX460 or Work490. What do you think? in parallel, I will be looking to share an instructor this year at Donington Park, so please let me know if anyone else is interested? All the best for the new year, Dave

Hi TLF people, and thanks for growing such a useful online resource. Last week I picked up my 2016 Evora 400 after just under 3 years in a Mercedes C350e. My accountant talked me into that car, and I guess it saved my business a bit of money, but gee-wizz. Boooorrrriiiiinngg!! Prior to that I had a supercharged Rangie, a couple of Boxsters, and a few bikes. So it's soooo good to be back in a car that has some soul! And bags of it! One week into ownership, and I'm well, well chuffed. What an amazing drive, just bonkers! I'm looking forward to getting into the better weather next year and having some adventures in this incredible car. I'm in South Devon. Any other…

Hi All After many months of visiting the forum and benefiting from all your wisdom I'm very happy to now be the proud (and hopefully vaguely well informed!) owner of a '92 High Wing. Looking forward to being able to take a bit more of an active role in scene now and hopefully put something back. Here she is taking her first drink at the watering hole 😀 Ben

Looking forward to getting involved. Andy.

Hey Everyone, Just wanted to say hello - recently bought an Evora LE (and loving it!). Mainly want to say thank you. Looked at this forum for ~3m before taking the plunge and knew a lot of what to look out for as a result of the great advice on here. In the interest of giving back, for those with the classic crumbling engine cooling pipe, you can buy a nice replacement of red silicone wired pipe for ~£20 and an exhaust reducer for the other end that is nice and easy to fit and seems to be working well :). Hoping to make a few other tweaks. Also recommend the gear knob from the Elise shop (I have no affiliation!). Popped a small piece of rubber in the threading …

Hello to all members on this interesting site. I have built /restored various kit cars over the last few years. I have for a few years had a project 84 Esprit Turbo sitting in the garage which I might try and get round to doing some work on. This certainly looks the place to get help, info and mental support which is as important as the previous two. I am sure if I do start the complete restoration there will be days that I will doubt my wisdom. What can I say they look so smart and its the closes I'll get in being 007. The car always looks cool the same cannot be said about the fat old guy that owns it. Cheers for now.

Hi, owned an Excel SE many years ago (great car), then headed off into German and Italian ownership (still have those I must confess) but always kept an eye on the ‘classic’ Lotuses. Bought an Esprit S4s recently and crickey what a car! Very fast and wonderful handling, obviously. Took the car out today and was struck by how usable it is - fired up straight away after too many weeks of inactivity (have a battery conditioner on from previous, other cars, bitter experience..), heater great, visibility fine, relaxing and confidence inspiring drive, then get the engine temp up to release full boost and...we’ll I’ll just say it rather goes! Mine’s really well maint…

Hey everyone, Wanted to introduce myself as a new member, I’ve had the Lotus bug for a number of years but not really got into the forums world. Started off with a Lotus 110 bike when I got into cycling as a teenager (StIll own it). First Lotus was an S2 111s in blue. L7 USO if anyone knows it’s where about these days. Loved that car 😢 Built a 1/2 scale electric Lotus 7 for my kids. Currently driving an Exige v6 Club Racer in yellow. Absolutely love it. For those of you on Instagram you may have seen my car doing the rounds as I like to take a lot of photos. @twistingroads I’ve also got a WhatsApp group based around the Swindon/Glos/W…

Hi everyone, I've recently bought my second Lotus Elise S1 after running one as my daily driver around 10-12 years ago. Lotus cars are in my blood as my father owned a M100 elan and an Esprit S4S at different times. Current jobs on the list include a rebuild of the Stack unit (currently away at 213 Performance) and a change of coolant.

Please allow me to introduce myself, I'm a man of stealth and haste. I am now into my fourth year of S1 NA Evora ownership. My God, what brilliant cars these are. I have only done 5K miles in this time, ( know I should do better and that will change) I have had no problems whatsoever. Considering the alternatives were an XKR or DB7, I think I chose wisely. I must confess to having lurked on here for too long, so a big UP to all you TLF warriors! Redwing

Where is the Europa forum? I'm looking for info on this classic, which I want to purchase, for autoX or DE events and just to enjoy. I can do some wrenching, so not a project car; I'm in the US so I would be looking for left-hand drivers. Any info of FAQs on what to look for in modifications or weak spots that owners have found over the years. So far I've discovered that owners here beef up the axles and harden the hub coupling for the larger axle they install; things like that that a knowledgeable buyer would look for. Thanks in advance.

I've been looking through some Lotus car and did save to get my first car but I am not that sure as to which model is best to purchase this year. Would you mind recommending which one to get? Is it really worth it to invest on a Lotus car?

Hey guys, new owner from Australia here. After 18 months of tracking my 911 I decided a dedicated track car was in order, and a ripper exige popped up and next thing you know, it was in my backyard. I've got nowhere to store it or the trailer it requires, but bloody hell it's good fun! Shame it's not registered tho, but it's a bit of a pig to drive on the road. Looking forward to learning the car and racing it next year!

Hello, hello, hello. To be fair, I've had my 2003 Elise 111S for over 3 years, but thought I'd pop on here as it's getting a bit of a winter refresh. Cheers, Darryl

Just a quick hello (sort of) from the North East of England. After ten years, I'm back in a Lotus. I picked up an Aspen White 2006 111R Touring Pack with 9k on the clock a couple of weeks ago. I've come from a Porsche 987 Boxster S which I had for seven years which was a great car. However I always wanted to get back in to an Elise after owning an S1 and S2 111R for a couple of years. I have only driven the car a few times since I picked her up from Norwich a few weeks ago but I'm already smitten, it's a totally different kettle of fish to the Porker, Its an amazing car. My wife loves driving it as well, she never really got on with the Porsche. One thing I will say…

Hi, I’ve just bought a mint 2015 Evora S sports racer manual in motorsport green. I’ve come through Peugeot 106 & 306 rallye, S2000 (crashed 😢), then kids, Megange R26, MX5 mk2, FPace, Panda 4x4, M135i before the Lotus. Some are still in the garage. This Evora brings all the passion and fun back to car ownership I’ve missed since the 306 & S2000 days. It was expensive compared to what else is available for the money, but it is bloody amazing to drive, stunning to look at (I love the green, bright but not too shouty) and really rare. Plus the kids fit in the back! My only niggle is creaky door cards (if anyone has some advice on this?) otherwis…

New to the forum and just picked up my first Lotus. Needed to experience seat of the pants driving before I cannot get in or out of a car like the Elise! 😂 Kermit is what He or She is getting called. Getting used to the box and running in. Cannot wait to rev it out and get on the power. Moved through from a 3.0 Z4 E85 to Boxster 987S and 981S so this is a very different car but loving the light weight and nimble nature thus far. Lotus information and support gladly welcomed ....... defo a noob! Be gentle! 👍 I will try and sort some better photos out soon!
