No, not my cyclinder head.. Really am at a loss as to what to do, have got the money to get another Esprit, really fancy a GT3.. but theres none I like for sale anywhere or they are ridiculously over priced the one I like, Dont want to miss Donington or be Espritless when its on. Have took it off Ebay, what a nightmare the people on there are, has anybody actually got any money?? I can hear Clarkey telling me to keep my car before Ive even finished writing this, and hes prob right. Ian

The aftermarket alarm on my S4s is getting dodgey. It has a separate imobiliser (as part of the main alarm) on a key thing. It never de-imobilises first time, sometime taking 20 attempts. I'm going to rip out the old one and fit something in its place. I am looking for a modular type where the battery is not in the siren; with dual microwave sensors; a backup battery; that passively imobilises; and for the future the possibility to add a pager. What would you fit? what have you got? what do you like? dislike? I would prefer to fit it myself rather than let someone else canniblize (?) up my wiring. Ta for now Glyn

Please post every photo you have of an esprit with a set of wheels that are different from those that were originally offered for the car. It would be nice to see some cars with those black wheels with the polished lips. I'm only a few months away from getting an esprit (late May), and the wait is seriously driving me crazy, so i need something nice to look at.

It's slid in the latest club lotus mag. Not a huge amount of Esprit stuff, but for the non-members heres a few of the bargains with the biggest reductions. anyone rebuilding an engine will see huge discount on piston sets, and some real expensive trim is down to a more realistic price too: Fuel pump ('88-'95) was

Just been out cruising with my lad. Dropped into Maranellos (Egham) and they've got a Brand New Enzo on display. Was gonna put an offer in, but some buggers already bought it. Also got a nice new Vanquish and Lambo there as well. So much variety to ponder over. No better way than to waste away a Sunday morning looking at Boys Toys - very pleasant.

Only for the day of course. The local Fireys were holding a car wash day in aid of the Tsunami victims. Went around and donated some money and asked if they wanted the car for the day to try and capture the eye of passing motorists. Looks like they're going to collect a few quid as there's a constant stream of cars lining up now. All for a good cause

I took my boss' niece to the lotus/lambo dealership here in town while she was waiting for her aunt (my boss) to finish working. I thought it would be interesting to know what a 14 year old cheerleader thought about exotic cars in general. She did not know what a lambo or a ferrari was. Only porsche, bmw, audi, etc. Here are her thoughts... ...the esprit is referred to as the "box" car. I told her that the esprit was my favorite, and she was like "what? that box?!" haha ...the black murcielago and the yellow gallardo were nice, but the sissor doors on the murcielago were stupid. Yes! She said the sissor doors were "dumb"! ...the grey murcielago roadster was r…

Following on from the other thread concerning my search for a S4s, I today, as planned visited UK sportscars........ Well, I'm glad I spoke to Robin before he left to come down with me, because despite receiving confirmation via Email on Friday that UKSC were ok to meet me at lunchtime today, they apparently sold the car on Saturday and couldn't be bothered to mail me and save me the 250 mile round trip to Kent....... When I challenged them they coould only say "we thought you were coming down on Saturday"..... So I'm mightily pissed off and have joined the ranks of people happy to stand up and slag them off.....

I was hoping to get the bodyshell split from the chassis this weekend but as we were cleaning up and re-aranging the garage I noticed a fuel leak on my friends Lotus Seven kit car that we just built. It turned out to be the connection that screws into the plastic fuel tank. I got a larger fitting retaped the hole and touch wood solved the leak. But it meant we didn't have time to get the Seven out of the garage and round to Micks fathers house. The really enoying thing was that on Saturday I had worked all day preping the car for the split removing the steering column, removing the radiator cowl, disconecting the fuel lines and all the other things that had to be done. Ju…
