Hey all After some solid advice from the forum, I bought my first Lotus (Exige 410 20th anniversary edition) about a month ago. Absolutely love the car and driving experience and just wanted to say thanks to the forum for the friendly advice. Very different experience to other brand forums I've been on! is coming to an end. Car passed its roadworthy today without an issue. So in a weeks time, the car goes to the new owner who lives up near the mountain roads and should have an absolute blast in it. Right so to start 2021 on a bit more of a positive note - I’ve cleared a spitfire out the way and sadly sold the Evora. What I really really fancy is a noble - but there isn’t anything tempting at the right money currently. So I’ve done a deal on something else instead to keep me amused. Garage cleared today to make space - I’m hoping to collect it next week. Work wise I’m busy on another hen shed - so it might take some time to get my teeth into this one. Needless to say - I’ve had to clear some shelf space for the boxes and boxes of parts. Roll on collection.

Does anyone know of reasonable car hire for Rome in August. Seems to be a total piss take. £1200 for 2 weeks! without decent insurance. Or am I just out of touch? Personally I would prefer an older car so not worried about damage.

I’m wanting to apply some heat shield material to the chassis tubes on my esprit that run quite close to the exhaust manifold. There are so many different products available that I’m looking for suggestions as to what is best? Is self adhesive adequate or should it be tied on with stainless ties.
