Had a few calls with Paul Matty about 1 of their ebay items. They told me that the parts business has been sold, will re-open somewhere, sometime, supposed to be bigger and better. The cars sales side of PM will close its doors at the end of the month. I assume then the site will be redeveloped and also the service side of the business goes as well. The remaining cars will then have to be off loaded in the trade. Also some showroom stuff seems to be up for sale as well.

Surprised MJK after his bout of COVID, which has knocked him for 6. Planned a little Surprise with our lovely Scottish Members and they turned up on Mass, much to the enjoyment of the whole Street who all came out to look as well! Thank you so much guys (and girls), I can't tell you how emotional dad got after you left. But he was so chuffed to "See all his friends". He was so happy and even called me this morning to chat about it again! If anyone else has any pics, please feel free to post them! Looks like we may be having a small get together of JPS cars at our next breakfast meeting - 2 JPS Esprits & an Elan + 2. It would be great to have more cars, so if there are any other owners who fancy coming along and are within reasonable driving distance, please do try to make it. Especially @robington (have you sold it yet), @Dan E you've been threatening to come The thread is here for details of when & where. You have to join the sub-forum to post, PM me if you don't want to do this, but will be coming.

I'm off to Germany tomorrow, MOT all booked for this morning and when my new tyres went on last week the TPMS valve failed, I only just found out as one of the new PS5's was at 3psi! A call to Joe yesterday and I was in this morning, new TPMS fitted and MOT just passed with flying colours! Credit where it's due, the guys at Lotus Kent were spot on in a tight spot so thank you to them

Has anyone used Rybrook Dealership based in Hockley Heath. They are known as Lotus Birmingham. I normally get my Evora serviced at Lotus Silverstone. Always had great service. But this dealer is 10 minutes away from me rather than 1 hour. Time is short at moment and I thought I would get them to service the Evora. But after visiting the showroom. Not a Lotus in sight. No merchandise, no nothing other that the Lotus signage. It got me wondering whether they had ever serviced a Lotus. Anyone based in Midlands used them before?

I'm looking for some HiRes Lotus photos that I could use as a photo wallpaper in our new garage. Something similar to this, but in higher resolution would be great.

Let me start by saying I’m obviously well aware of the world situation causing this, but the supply situation seems, if anything, to be getting worse. Back in April, I ordered an E Class estate with an anticipated delivery at the end of this year. Then in August I received an email from MB telling me that due to ongoing supply difficulties, I was now looking at Q1/Q2 of next year. Ok, I thought, not a massive problem and I obviously know the reasons behind it all. Then last week I received another email telling me they could no longer supply a car to my spec, so they have cancelled the order and could I call them so they can refund my deposit on to my card. No…

What a hoot lol!!! - Anyone else had the pleasure? Utter madness what a car is now capable of. Even as a passenger and being told before hand I won’t have felt anything like this sensation before - CORRECT 😲- nothing prepares you for that 1st time. I’ll never slate electric again. Something like 2.6 seconds 0-60

Hi to all our readers in the South West of France. We have 7 Lotus Cars on holiday just outside Biarritz for another week. Do you have any recommendations for shows/events/museums, please? Thanks for your help! Kevin

Apple according to people surveyed. For a car that doesn't exist. Proving that all you need is marketing

https://www.lbc.co.uk/news/truss-hints-she-could-scrap-motorway-speed-limits/ I'm starting to like Liz Truss! No more smart motorways (I'm not fussed either way, while the extra capacity is great they do seem rather dangerous!) but no more speed limits would be ace! Works well in Germany, why not here! Would go some way to improving driving standards on motorways too which are currently rock bottom in terms of lane/signal discipline.

Hi guys, I’m going to Classic Le Mans next year, and looking to tag on a week or so at the end for a road trip around France. Fingers crossed I’ll have my Emira by then…. Planning on heading down to do Red Rock road, Route Napoleon, and Clue de Greolieres. Then thinking about heading up into the Alps to do Grimsel Pass. Not driven into France before, so if anyone has done something similar or has advice about the area, must dos, avoid etc. it would be much appreciated!

I was looking on the GOV.UK site over the weekend and I found this useful link. Not only does it state all the history of the car with advisories and failure information going back through the full electronic records available for my car, but it also allows you to do a recall check. Thank fully I have no recalls outstanding for my car but it’s worth checking because if you are not the first owner of the car the retailer may not have updated Lotus Cars and therefore may not have your contact details to write to you. https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/ So please spare five minutes to check the details the government has on your car and contact your retailer…

Hello, I am looking for a top quality, all weather cover for my Elise. It is garaged but occasionally parked outside... Does anyone here have a recommendation please. I bought this one :-http://www.eliseparts.com/products/show/18/56/full-car-cover-outdoor/ but after only 2 weeks use it has rubbed into a hole on the spoiler. Looks like it's not styled correctly for spoiler models.
