Dry Sump Register 1 2 3 4 39

Hey Guys I want to get a Dry Sump register started with Dan and don't want it to be a hidden database but understand some details like full chassis numbers may be a little sensitive so happy to give anyone who contributes full access if they provide email addresses and keep a more visible one public if that suits best? What do you think? It is only ever going to be as good as the information built through fellow members and lots of research. Andy Graham will help usually like he did with the early M100 one once we have most of it together to fill the gaps. I have quite a lot of cars details already so won't take long to get something together. Dave

Still in Ireland. It's had a wing added and I think a respray as a bit more shiny than when I had it. Still got the 2 holes in the rear valence from the exhaust bibs added, I went back to one exit silencer.

I have just sold my M3 which has freed up funds to allow me to buy my first Esprit, I've been back and forwards on which model to go for and have settled on an S4s. I am currently considering two cars and am looking for some advice on which is likely to be the best buy, one is Ruby red metallic with 30k miles, the other Calypso red with 50k miles, both appear to be in excellent condition. I can't decide which colour I prefer, the Ruby red car is more expensive however I can afford either, id like people's opinion on which is likely to be the better buy, my head tells me the Ruby red car makes more sense as its a rarer colour (I've never seen one before) and has…

I don't know if I've woken up in the twilight zone - but every Esprit I see for sale (even the ropey ones) seem to be going for lots and lots of money..... S1's - in good order - £25 to £40k S2's and S3's - £10 to £16k X180's > £10k SE's > £12k S4's > £16k S4S >£19k V8's >£19k What's happened? Does anyone know - is it because the good ones are less and so they're worth more? Has James Bond declared he's buying an X180 for the next film? As a footnote there are also some absolute howlers for sale at the moment who seem to think that they have equally good cars and seem to be trying to cash in on the price increase too.

Hi everyone, Just wondering if anyone has had any dealings with Classic & Modern Engine Services Ltd in Bracknell? The garage that was building my engine has run into issues with their usual suppliers and have sent it to this company for assessment. They have highlighted some issues and provided a quote for the work. They are not a company I have heard of in the Lotus circles before and therefore thought I'd ask here before agreeing for them to do the work. Grateful for any views good or less than hot. Cheers Chris

Friday evening about 6pm my 95 Turbo failed in heavy traffic in Ilkley as if I’d run out of fuel Cant hear the usual buzz from the pump when I switch on the ignition Pump fuse seems ok and swapping out relays makes no difference - suspect pump Almost THIRTEEN hours later I’m still waiting for recovery and a visit from the RAC after being up all night with my car stranded on double yellows and facing the wrong way in a one way street Does anyone know of anybody local that I can contact to get me and my precious car home? Max five miles! Thanks anyone! 07801813777

Although not actually an esprit, it's Lotus and sort of based on the esprit. Not seen any ref to this elsewhere on the forum about it so thought I'd post a link about it. https://www.vehicledynamicsinternational.com/features/remembering-sid-a-significant-active-dynamics-programme.html

Don't know if anyone can help - but this forum has always been fab in answering my daft questions. We are in the process of moving from Bedfordshre to Suffolk. My Esprit is being picked up from Storage and getting its C service and MOT at the end of June. I then need it to be (safely) transported from Beds to Suffolk. Does anyone know peeps (who know what they are doing) who are good at this sort of service? I cast my net out on the internet to some "classic car transportation" folk - one has (so far) responded with a quote of £435. That seems a little steep to me (will gladly take it on the chin if forum users say that's the going rate). Anyway - thought I'd ask...

Looking for advice on bringing my 1995 S4S out of storage after 2 years of slumber. I put stabilizer in the tanks prior to storage but would like to drain the old gas out before start up. Is it possible to siphon both tanks through the fill doors? Also; the car did not have any battery for the 2 year period nor has the engine been turned over. Should I be alert to any ECU issues, etc? Any other recommendations or concerns to watch out for? Much appreciate it!

Does anyone know if the Deezer Collection in Miami still have the car? Has anyone been there to see it? I'm trying to get some closeup pictures of the ski racks. As I will have to make some replicas. Thanks.

Hi all. First post so please be gentle lol. So I’ve just purchased this car, and I’ll be honest, it’s a bit scary for me spending that much! https://themarket.bonhams.com/en/listings/lotus/esprit/2e5a57e5-ccda-44a6-8fe9-ffe240e7b5fc Hopefully picking up this week! The history seems a bit dubious but hey ho. The wheels aren’t right and neither is the red decals in my opinion, do you guys agree? Anyways. I’m taking it straight to my local automotive upholsters to sort out a few things on the interior. Do you guys have meets anywhere in Yorkshire? I’d love to see you all at one. If not I look forward to picking your brains when …

I am sure you will all have seen the engine fire damaged Esprit for sale, commiserations to the previous owner, if on here! My questions are: Given the amount of damage, while a refurb of the existing engine is no doubt an option, are there any other popular engine swaps for these cars? Something that has been done, not needing to reinvent the wheel… Also, if a track car build looks like an option, does anyone still sell a wide body kit for this car? Any ideas very welcome, with thanks.
