Old news I know but great to ride the Tomontoul road today, with the new bridge now open. Took the bike out on "The Ski Lodge Loop" as I've now christened it. 256 miles. I'm a bit sore... Nice view of the old bridge and Gairnshiel Lodge. And as luck would have it what should blast across as I was taking photos...

I have booked my Esprit into this show (individual- in the 90's period cars). Presumably Club Lotus will have a stand there as they normally do. Anyone else planning to attend?

0900 at Dobbies Garden Centre, Fife Leisure Park, Halbeath, Dunfermline, for a bacon butty! (vegan and other options available) Depart c.0930/0945 for a circular run up through Perthshire to Loch Tay area and back round to join up with A90/M90 for those going back down south (though no reason to not go through the lovely roads of Fife but steer clear of St.Andrews as it will be mobbed). Hope to see a few of you there as we drive on some of Scotland's finest roads.

LEGS is too quiet these days due to WhatApp being easier I suspect so thought I get posting. Well a few of us who were in touch on the WhatsApp group made it along to Sunday Worship yesterday organised by Classic Car Tours and managed to keep the Lotus name up there. Photos from the photographer can be seen here The meet was at the But & Ben in Croftamie not far North of Glasgow. There were Parks of Hamilton dealer demo's along from McLaren and Maserati although nothing from the Lotus side as they have nothing to sell partly and partly as they still haven't appointed somebody to be the Lotus "agent" as looking for somebody with the right passion for the b…

Hi all. As you might have seen fro my other topic, I have just placed a deposit on an Exige 350. The car is down near London but originally supplied by Lotus Glasgow. It's coming back north of the border now but just wondered if anyone knows the first owner? He had it for 2 years on plate S17SJF.

Hello, First post so apologies in advance if this breaks any rules; I don't own a Lotus but i have just got rid of a Rover 45 due to excessive rust but before doing so i spent a lot of money having a VVC head modified to run on the standard MPI ignition by Roger @ Sabre heads. I didn't get a chance to fit it to the car and obviously its no use to me now but i was wondering if there was anyone in Aberdeenshire area that might be interested in it? (Needs to be an in person deal hence me putting it here and not in any for sale section - i.e. i won't post) Its a 143 head in good condition...Roger has recut the valve seats and enlarged the VVC cam sens…

So who has 'gone and done it' and ordered an Emira in LEGS? I know of a couple and I know that Laura has been VERY busy this last week or so....... (Even website deposits come back to local dealers) Having been tempted to go elsewhere recently but thankfully resisted I'll admit I have gone and done it today when I said I wouldn't. 😬 I was reading so much on line about how many deposits have been taken in the UK alone this week, on top of the earlier dealer deposits and with the ROTW just starting to see it now I thought I'd better move on this if I want one even in 2023. I don't want a launch edition for a number of reasons (not least of all being a bit of a meh co…

Now that lockdown has eased anyone fancy a "meet up"? Maybe Sunday 16th May? Given the time passed sinced the last meet up was wondering if anyone fancied a wee bacon roll, a coffee, and a nice drive out as per map below. Great roads and scenery and we could combine with a very light lunch outside somehere like say the Meiklour Arms. Was thinking to start at the Bridge Cafe in Dundee from 0900-0930 - loads of space for the meet-up, a roll and coffee from the carry out Carriage and then start for the drive. This is one of my favourite routes, usually in the evening after a stressful day to blow away the cobwebs. Some cracking roads here and largely away …

This just popped into my inbox... Dear Lotus Enthusiasts Group Scotland, I wanted to send you a wee update on the Royal Deeside Motor Show. Following the announcement by the UK Government some weeks ago, supplemented by the additional clarity provided by the Scottish Government last week and the current localised stability and suppression of the ongoing Coronavirus-19 pandemic, we are excited to announce that the Royal Deeside Motor Show will proceed in July 2021. Whilst we cannot be complacent and ignore the current challenges presented by the ongoing pandemic, we are working closely with Visit Scotland and Aberdeenshire Council, …

If you would like to be added to this group please PM your mobile number to me with your forum screen name please. I intend using this to advise LEGS members where our monthly breakfast meets are. This will not replace the Forum posts or the PM’s I send out. Some of you are not receiving email notifications so I thought the WhatsApp group would improve communication with LEGS members. Brian

Hi - just returned to the Lotus fold after a wee while away. Have owned a number of Elise/Exige over the years including a new S1 in 1999 and S2 111s in 2004. Various others over the years and as I get older keep thinking the last one will be just that! However, I can't help myself looking at the market and have now bought a 1998 S1 in need of a mild restoration. Got the front clam off which needs refreshed and I'm looking for a recommendation for a paint shop to carry out this work. Based in West Lothian so somewhere in East/Central Scotland. Any help much appreciated. Thanks. Jim.

Well it was a news embargo and I had to keep lips sealed for the last few months as he was deep in planning it but Craig has given up his old premises just before Christmas and moved to a new location - not far away - with a lot more scope for him to expand in further and offer new services. I was lucky customer No.1 at the new place yesterday with the Evora (well only because drivers door lock shat itself and wouldn't open - Grrr) and he can be found just over the railway up the back of where Murray's used to be be still in the Sighthill Estate. 6 Bankhead Cross Way South, Sighthill Industrial Estate, Edinburgh, EH11 4EZ All the usual telephone numbers so no ch…

I have been contacted by Lotus Cars and asked to remove the "amended" Lotus logo from the online sites due to the distortion and unauthorised use of the logo. I have therefore replaced the original LEGS Logo with the Scottish Flag.

Hi all, With the fantastic memories of the Jim Clark Memorial Tour 2018 of April in mind, I'm planning a new road trip for a group of Dutch Lotus owners and enthousiasts. All participants of the JCMT2018 want to taste more of wonderful Scotland. And the challenge of the North Coast 500 is so appealing that it didn't need much encouragement and persuation to make this our goal. June 2019 will be the month to do it. We will probably be with 8-10 cars and 12-15 people. Since we can't make it a trip of two weeks, we are limited to 5 full days for the 500 miles. This means we will probably miss out on enjoying all of the sceneries, but since more road trips are pl…

A group of five Lotus are coming to Scotland for a bit of a holiday from the 10th to the 18th of September. We are staying in Fort William, Gairloch, Tain, Scone and Dryburgh (Melrose - for the Jim Clark Museum). Anything going on that we should know about, please, people? (And, before you say it, yes, I know that there is a bit of illness going around at the moment!) Thanks in advance Kevin
