Just checked this region and it's been a while since there was any activity, which is understandable. Does the Ace Cafe still have Lotus night? Worth getting back in the saddle for you guys?

I went to the London Classic Car Show today (Sunday) and then to the Brentford Project where Duke of London is located for a spot of late lunch. The show was held outdoors at Syon Park this year due to Covid. Good turnout despite the overcast weather. Some interesting cars. A handful of car clubs as well. Sadly not much Lotus action. Here are a few photos I took at the show and later at the Brentford Project. This first one I have never seen before. It is a Monteverdi

Anyone planning to go there to start the new year with other petrolheads? Usually Lotus is a bit under represented, despite my best efforts. I'll be taking my Elan JPS over this year. First time doing such a long trip (abut 500 miles), should be quite the experience. Greetz, Filip

Long shot this I know, but I have a Lotus Esprit that needs quite a bit of work to get back on the road after at least 10 years of being off the road. I am keen to do this, but having a real problem finding anywhere to do it. I'm bet I'm not the only person in London struggling for space for hobbies, but wondered if anyone had any leads on at least a temporary home for it. I'm in NE London, but would consider a reasonable amount of travel to it - pretty much anywhere would be better than the 4 1/2 hours to my brother's barn where it is currently sitting. Anywhere inside (or near to) the M25 from about the A10 round to the M20 would be OK. All leads followed u…

Hi all I intend to be at Brooklands on 7th. At some point in May I have to go to High Wycombe for work and am considering staying the Sunday as High Wycombe is close by. Brooklands hotel is too pricey. I need a safe place to stay for my car. B&B, hotel. Not just anywhere. Can anyone advise me of somewhere suitable. Thanks Phil

As last months Stow breakfast meet was quite a success, and seems to be a good central location to plan more, Im putting out the date for the next one as April 2nd..another sunday morning...It would have been the weekend before but thats Mothering Sunday so Im sure there will be those who are busy on that day. If this date proves unsuitable it can be amended to suit the majority but personally I wont be able make any other date until some time in May after this one.. The venue will be the same again, breakfast at Speedwell's Cafe, Chruch St (GL54 1BB postcode), which opens at 9am (car parking in the main market square GL54 1AB postcode). Sam the owner has phoned me t…

We here in the Midlands group are organizing a little breakfast meet at Stow-on-the-Wold with the last sunday of this month in mind. Its a nice drive out from all directions, parking is a-plenty in the market square (although it can get busy there from about 10am onward if the weather is good) and there is an abundance of good coffee places and breakfast choices. Having visited a few times for breakfast, I would suggest visiting The Coffee House, Church Street which is a couple of minutes walk from parking. Breakfasts are fresh to order and have been consistently excellent each visit. Postcode for parking is GL54 1AB, and The Coffee House is GL54 1BB. I would sugges…
