hello, I now have an Exige 430 cup on which I have installed collectors with premium insulate protection (without catalyzer), a Titanium Y-Pipe line and a Titanium 200-cell catalyzer. Does it make sense to install the KT Airbox carbon and Komotec EX475 reprogramming? Knowing that Komotec maps are not tailor-made to suit the car, and that the modifications I've made are virtually the same as those offered by Komotec on their ex475 kit (headers, y-pipe and Cata sport 200 cells). What do you think? Thanks in advance ;) TheShur

Good Evening all, I had the car out for a bank holiday drive and noticed in the rear view mirror corrosion around the engine. When I returned home I further inspected to find alot of corrosion which is supirising to me as the car has only covered 150 miles. I messaged the agent at the dealership and they're getting back to me tomorrow as to why there's corrosion. I just need some advice on what I can do to make it look better or what I should be telling the dealership to do to make it right?

Has anyone fitted the variable slip traction control dial from a 430 to a 410? Turns out there is a spare unlabelled three wire connector behind the steering cowl, I suspect it is a potentiometer input for variable slip. Do I only need to add the dial? Is the coding already installed? I’m thinking it is possible the system reverts to a generic traction setting if it can’t see the inputs from the dial. Does anyone have a photo or the details printed on the variable slip potentiometer? The genuine Lotus part is approx £165, I suspect it is approx £5-£10 part. Thanks Roy

My lithium battery is dead, my own fault going on holiday for a week and a half and forgetting to put it on the charger/conditioner... never had a problem with it in the past... my own fault! Managed to get it charged by tricking it but seems the charge isn’t lasting, going to re test in two days, but if it’s not holding I guess I need to invest in a new lithium battery. Loathed to go back to lead and add 18-20kg of weight back on the car! So what lithium battery’s are everyone using these days?

Hi Gents, I purchased an Exige V6s very recently and overall I am loving the car. However, i went out yesterday and the car felt slower than it did originally. I took the car out again today and again the car didn't feel as silly quick as it did over the weekend and I noticed some noise coming from the engine bay that I hadn't heard originally. There seems to be some non-supercharger whistling and some supercharger rattle. When I got home I opened the engine cover to have a look and the supercharger sounds like a bag of spanners at idle. Can anyone report whether this is normal or not? Car is still in Warranty and is due to go back to Silverstone i…

I’m considering these manifolds to delete the cats and make the car less emasculated: https://aerieperformance.com/products/motorsports-headers?fbclid=IwAR3Y1k0Gy2nheYzExKRhQNZxZQs2YK09Mh8_ULwQS7nSNxSIHuPQs9EfPXU I already have a 2Bular lightweight back box on the car. ‘Question is, what else do I need? I assume I’ll need a modified Down pipe with a sports cat/flexi joint in. will I need new lambda sensors with longer leads? will I need to get the car mapped - is it recommended? I can only assume by deleting the cats the car should perform slightly better? Any advice appreciated, thanks.

Hello chaps haven't driven my 430 in a while and the battery is dead. I have a CTEK battery tender that I normally use for my Ferrari Challenge Stradale. Can I also use it for the Lotus ? I remember reading that Lotus is using some f**up light batteries that cannot use the normal CTEK chargers. Is that right ? Thanks in advance.

Hi All, Looking for some thoughts, preferably based on your actual experience of this topic. My 410 is coming up to four years old and its booked in for a service. Good independent Lotus garage have advised me that the rubber plastic flaps in the Lotus baffled sump need to be replaced every two years. As an alternative they have suggested the Moroso oil pans that have metal flaps so dont need to be replaced every two years. As I'm not familiar with this subject I'd like to have some views on this suggestion. What have others done in this instance? Thanks in advance.

Hi all, I've just had the belt replaced on my Exige and it's chirping. The installer said it will go away after a few miles as it's will automatically correct itself as it wears in. I've done 40 miles since fitting. Has anyone had something similar occur? Cheers

There's been a few topics where people have talked about the exhausts on the car, and how to make it permanently loud via various methods. Although people may know to pull pipes and block things off, they may not always fully understand what they're achieving. I thought it might be worth a quick explanation for people to use as a reference in the future. The exhaust is made quiet or loud by closing or opening a butterfly valve in the exhaust. When the valve is open, it lets the exhaust gasses through a much bigger pipe. The valve is moved by an actuator, which uses a spring and diaphragm. The spring pushes the valve open, and a vacuum pressure is applied to pul…

Hi all, I just bought a 2013 Exige V6. The previous owner had fitted an Alias23 intake. Since I first drove the car my impression was that it didn't make a lot of noise (appart from the induction), much less that I would expect from a V6 and all the fuss I read about the Exige. Also, I didn't hear any sound difference between the different DPM mode. So today I decided to investigate. After some reading, I disconnected the hose going to the Exhaust valve and, bingo, I could clearly hear the difference! I could also see that the position of the valve was not the same as before (same as when the car is turned off actually). So the valve is working, but for some re…

So I have wrestled with this, as I am taking the lightest V6 Exige built and making it heavier.. Without a charge cooler the Cup 380 can suffer on hot track days so my logic is that it’s safer and less stressful for the engine to have a charge cooler… So I have been talking the last few days with H111 to do some Komotec work alongside replacing the plastic baffled sump with the Moroso. So where I would like some help is to know more about the EX490. This feels more OEM than the EX460 as it’s the charge cooler from my old Evora 400. I can find lots of EX460 review but little on the other. Noting that it’s considerably more expensive again, is it as simp…

Hi there! New to the forum. Looking to purchase an Exige 410 this weekend which is all very exciting. I will likely replace the battery with an anti-gravity lithium battery to reduce the change of battery depleting between charges as where the car will be stored is not close to electricity for a battery trickle charger. I've done the same thing with another car previously and it worked great. OEM wet battery would drain in a week...anti gravity lithium is still basically full after a couple of weeks left. Does anyone know what battery group the stock OEM lotus batteries on this model fall into?...for example, H5/Group 47 etc Thanks in advance and …

Hi, I'm looking to put on my Exige V6 350 Sport a new ECU to increase possibilities and security. Especially add sensors (MAF, air temperature, ...) I see there are 2 competitors : - SCS Delta 900T6 : https://www.scs-delta.co.uk/product-page/lotus-exige-s3 - EMU EcuMaster Black ECU : https://www.ecumaster.com/products/emu-black/ What are main differences between them ? And what is your experience of them ? Happy ? Advices ? Thank you for your help

Hi All, I just want to share with you what happened to me and maybe get your feedback and suggestions . June 2017 I ordered a 70 mm valved system for my cup. Just because the car was new , Jim said he had to think how to create it as that was his first exhaust for a 380 cup . The exhaust was delivered after 2 months( incredible ) In November I had the burnt -out exhaust valve and Jim sent a replacement exhaust valve and a 2bular "Track" exhaust for me to try. (No Charge for this). Well, after three track days at Monza you can see how the exhaust was and due di this my car caught fire , look how the exhaust opened up. The day afte…

Hi all, I seem to be having some issues with my 430cup, its only done 3k miles. I am getting a TC error/fault message that randomly comes in, it seems to clear when I turn the car off and back on (with they key out) I suspect it could be a brake sensor issue? The more dangerous thing is recently it randomly just loses all power whilst just cruising, no response on the throttle whatsoever, I drove on the A1 whilst overtaking a lorry and all power was completely out, restarted the car as it was rolling but I had to pull over whilst it was decelerating, it didnt feel like a fuel cut out (whilst pressing the throttle) there was simply just no response, it was an e…

I'm thinking of swapping out my 2bular exhaust for something a little quieter that's more refined on longer journeys (relatively!) How much should I expect to get for it? It's about 18 months old and I've done roughly 5000 miles with it. It's a non-valved road exhaust with carbon tips. Thanks.

Hi all, First of all, this isn’t something new and I’m certainly not the first. I think it’s pretty well-known that at least 2 fellow members in UK have done this conversion. I think I’m the first in Hong Kong (and possibly outside UK in general). I know there are a lot of interest in this for the V6S owners but not enough information and that is probably keeping many people away for attempting this. I hope with some tips and pointers more V6S members would feel comfortable doing this. I will share my experience and what I have gone through from start to finish. There is no mystery to this conversion, but it is not 100% plug and play as most would expect. …

Hi Guys, As background my car is a 2021 Exige 420, with c5,000 miles on the clock. I did a roadtrip this summer around Europe and on the way back noticed my supercharger was starting to make a rattling sound. I took the following video and sent it to Lotus Silverstone (closest dealer), where I was advised not to drive the car anymore and get it delivered to them on a truck. Would they pay for this? No. Not great given the car is in its warranty period, but the car comes with AA assistance so they took it there on a flat bed. Fine, although not off to the best start. I must give full credit to Rita from Lotus Silverstone, as she was been incredibly helpful …

After looking at the throttle body I noticed way too much oily deposits because of the oil vapour vent hose plugged just before and wanted to install some oil catch tank system On the exige v6 cup r there is as standard a Mocal oil catch tank with breather cap Radium makes some double oil catch tank that is not vented and recirculates to the standard connections for the evora but it should fit also on the exige v6 with small modifications Anyone is running some kind of oil catch tank and could post pictures or how did they connected it? Also could be interesting to see if there is oil and dirt differences depending on what air filter kit is used on the…

On Thursday at Brands Hatch my car had a problem in one of the sessions, and I wonder if anyone had experienced similar. Coming out of a corner, I tried to accelerate and there was no power at all. I slowed down slightly and the car would accelerate back up to 4000rpm and then stop, so it was obviously in some sort of limp mode. There were absolutely no lights on the dash to indicate that anything was wrong. I cruised back to the pits, and after I'd left the car a while and restarted it the fault was gone. I did two more sessions, and a 120 mile journey home with no problems. A fellow owner reminded me that the brake light switch can cause problems....BUT, …

Hi All I have an Exige 350 Sport and I want to permanently open the exhaust valve. I've read a number of topics on the subject of opening the exhaust valve either by pressing the switch on the steering column or by disconnecting and plugging the hose that leads to the exhaust. When I purchased the car it was already fitted with the Alias 23 induction system so the plumbing is not as standard. Whoever installed it has taken the red hose directly from the supercharger down to the exhaust. I believe this is correct for a V6, but for a 350 sport my understanding is that the solenoid that opens the valves in the air intake and exhaust should still be utilised otherwise a…

I have just installed an engine oil temperature sender in the moroso baffled sump. I was surprised to see only 60c on a slow motorway cruise, 70c at junctions. Seems low to me. I have not tested on track or B roads yet. Anyone else out there seeing their oil temp? What do you see? Thanks.

I am considering purchasing an Exige 430/410 for trackday use, but am aware that the factory fitted exhaust will fail noise limits on almost all UK trackdays. Based on what I have found from some internet research, the following aftermarket options are available: 1) Seriously Lotus: https://www.seriouslylotus.com/lotus-quiet-track-s... 2) Komotec: https://www.komo-tec.com/en/lotus-exige/mk3-toyota... 3) For a time I believe Lotus offered a factory approved aftermarket option, but no longer do: https://mailchi.mp/80360bea9100/lotus-track-exhaus... From what I have read elsewhere online, I believe this is the same as the options listed above that are still offered by…
