Hey all - Hoping someone may have had or know of someone that's had a similar issue. It's an intermittent electrical issue and hoping to get some advice before I take it to a workshop as sod's law they won't be able to replicate and I'm nervous of spending loads of time trying to get this diagnosed.... Below is the sequence of what happens when driving. This tends to happen on track or when the car has been exercised, but aside from that no obvious pattern. AiM have just launched a specific plug-and-play dash and binnacle / GPS logger/laptimer combo for 2011 onwards Lotus (Elise and Exige) https://aim-sportline.com/en/products/plug-and-play/mx2e/index.htm I've definitely been impressed with their Solo2DL datalogger in my Cup (which this would render redundant), and was tentatively looking at dashes. This is mighty tempting.

Some of you might know there is an exhaust valve cable inside the steering wheel column, probably an option for some early V6 models. Does anyone know will it work on my V6s and how I can wire it up? My connector has 4 wires as attached which is quite different to 410 which only has two. I am not ready to pay £60 for an OEM switch so any help will be appreciated.

So I finally decided to mount harness bar and harnesses for Lotus, but I found out I'm one of unlucky ones. Harness bar mounting holes haven't been threaded or have been threaded on the wrong side. I remembered there was a thread where another member had this issue, apparently it happens every so often. Did anyone have this issue and solved it? There is really not much space to try an tap the tread, probably possible if you remove rear clam, but I'm bit hesitant to go in that direction. Are there any other types of harnesses that mount differently? I'm willing to spend some money and buy another one, or buy tool that will help me tap there.

Hi guys. We just forgot to turn our liteblox battery and it died out. Now we can't open the car, it is totally locked. How can we open the panel to reach the battery? Urgent help please, the Lotus Turkey service says that they don't know how to open it.

Chaps, Managed to crack my screen.. Like Birds and planes, you can’t avoid them! Called AutoGlass through my insurance and they’ve ordered the glass from Lotus.. They’ve said the front clam needs to be loosened and the clam screws released to fit the new screen. Fair enough. Issue is that they want the car at their own AutoGlass service shop instead of going out to my dealer to calibrate the screen. This sounds right and proper. Getting Lotus dealer to release the clam and then getting the car to Autoglass is the issue.. flat bed transporter sound expensive! Is it difficult to release the clam? Something I could do at Autoglass or am I ask…

Hi guys, I've owned the car for about a month now, and a problem seems to have cropped up two weeks ago. My alarm would just suddenly just go off randomly. This has happened 4 times in different places, two of which was in my garage early in the morning with no one there to accidentally touch the car. I am able to turn it off by pressing the unlock button, but when I press the lock key, it gives me the 3 beeps, telling me that something isn't right. This is different from the 6 beeps when I try to lock it, with a door or the trunk left open. Hello all I was giving my 410 a good clean today when I removed the front carbon fiber "trunk" panel. Found a plastic "lid" under the panel which didn't appear to belong there! Being non mechanically minded thought I'd chuck a few photos on the forum here and see if anyone can tell me whether the lid belongs somewhere on the car or if it's just something bizarre that's been left under there at some stage!!! HI All, I was planning to have a reversing camera and exhaust valve button fitted to my 420 FE but have been told they don't work on the FE cars ? Has anyone managed to have them fitted and working ? Thank you Simon

Just wondering if anyone has got any tips for removing the sun visors in their exige? I need that extra inch of visibility due to my height. Any info on the removal process would be great. Cheers!

Have a EU spec (LHD) car with alu footrest on the passenger side (passenger over here sits on the right hand side ;-)). Considering moving to a full carpet set. I know Imran is selling a LHD set, not sure they are different (I do think they are different in the footwell area?) - does anybody know what options are out there? - I've read using double sided tape... Hello, I searched but didn't find someone with a similar problem. On my newly aquired 2013 Exige V6 the instrumentation is working when I press on the buttons, and the buttons are lit, BUT they do not change state when I press them. I cannot tell wether A/C, air recycling or even headlights are on or off by looking at the button. The light intensity doesn't change a bit. In find it to be quite dangerous in the case of the taillights which I cannot tell if they are on. I tried changing the dimming settings but doesn't fix it. Is this behavior normal ? If not, what is controlling the change of light intensity when an instrumentation is on or off? Any ideas would …

Despite having covered only 5700 miles, my wiper blade seems to be utterly useless. I've searched a fair bit but haven't found a V6-specific wiper blade available - are they the same as the S2? Also, having seen an uprated wiper arm on one site, does anyone know if such a thing would be of benefit, or is my miserable wiper experience quite unique?

Did anyone figure out how to install both harnesses and belts on 390FE or cars with similar seats? SimplyLotus told me their solution doesn't work, it's only for carbon seated cars.

So I've made a massive mistake today. I was fitting some side skirts, drilling the mounting holes and fitting rivnuts. Unfortunately when drilling one of the holes, water suddenly appeared... I've been chatting with some people and initially thought it may be rain water in the sill, but I subsequently noticed my chargecooler reservoir was empty. I knew that you had to be careful of this, but I was drilling a hole quite a long way from the chassis where the hoses are clipped. (Well, apparently not....) Here's where the hole was; Has anyone got any experience of this happening and how difficult (expensive) the repair will be?
