I didn't realise that! Maybe we should communicate this in one of the emailings, to get some more activity on here? Perhaps the club emailers could have a register message and link in their signature for club emails or something? Just an idea.

Hi Gents. I see many times on the forums it said that Yokohama no longer makes the AD07 in LTS OEM fitment. Just wanted to let you know that this is not true. I have ordered two sets for my 2009 Elise SC over the last 5 years from Hypertyre and received most recently a pair or rear tyres last month and have just placed an order for fronts 175. The 225 rears are approx $800 a pair and the fronts approx $600 including GST and delivery. You need to place the order direct and they will go into production on the next run. Typically I wait 6 months for a pair to arrive. My latest order is my fourth pair since 2016. I like to keep a full set of new tyres on the shelf f…

Hi Guys, I'm currently looking to move to Auckland from Dubai, and would love to bring my much loved Evora S with me when i come. I appreciate that a LHD/RHD conversion is a ton of work that likely requires some form of donor car to acquire the used parts necessary to do the job efficiently, however its still a route i'm willing to explore... Does NZ have any lotus parts specialists around? are there any good garages that deal with lotus in Auckland that i could speak to about this? Here in Dubai the main dealer is amazing and very helpful, but the market is too small to have any good specialist garages or used parts etc, i suspect NZ may be similar? Than…

Hi, Does anyone know or have a Series 1 Elise for sale in New Zealand. I'm in Christchurch but willing to travel. Body and engine condition isn't too important but must not be a crashed/repaired car and still road legal. Chris 021 366767

I'm planning to join in the Raglan Run this Sunday, in my 2012 Elise. My passenger seat is currently empty. Anyone interested, try to persuade me to take you? :-) My expectations of you: dress warmly, as I'll try to keep the roof off, unless it is looking like or actually raining. A cap helps. don't make a mess pay for your own lunch What you can expect from me: it's only a 1600, so I don't drive excessively fast, but I do corner briskly when it is safe I like getting to know people, so I might ask questions - answers are up to you no radio or other music - the exhaust note is sufficient If anyone else has a seat …

Hi All, As you all know, we love to drive our cars along some amazing twisty roads that we're blessed with here in NZ. I'm always coming across new roads and there is one I'll share as soon as I've finished editing the video. So I thought I would start this thread to inform others of your favorite 'Amazing Driving Roads'. Perhaps you can post a video of the drive but better still include a link to a Google Map so we can all find and enjoy the road To get things going, here a great road in West Auckland... You'll find on the way to Piha 'Lone Kauri Road' And here is the Google Map https://drive.google.com/open?id=1brAskD7CVk5NMjnwszkF…

Things I learned today: Lotus still fit (or did in 2012) a radiator with a plastic end tank to new Elises Plastic end tanks get brittle and break You can't buy a replacement in NZ An all alloy replacement from Elise Parts costs $588 + shipping Question: should I worry about reusing the original fan mounting kit (made of mild steel, and thus prone to rusting in salty air), and pay an extra $40 for 316 marine grade stainless steel brackets, nuts, bolts, etc?

Hi guys, I’m from Germany and owner of a Lotus Elise (1998, RHD) since 2008 (imported from UK). Next year I'm going l move to New Zealand and would like to take my Elise with me. Does anyone of you have experience with the import of vehicles, especially Lotus? It seems to be possible to import the car with a European COC. Does the car have to be 100% original or which changes are critical in NZ? Nevertheless, after reading many internet pages, I have still a long list of questions. Kind regards, Dirk

Great to see somewhere for Kiwis to show their passion for Lotus. I have just received my excel back from the workshop with it's full new coat. I had the body join removed, ground back and filled to give the car a fresher look. I know this is radical but it sure makes it look so cool in my opinion. I was wondering if any other Lotus guys live in this part of the world. If so, hope to catch up sometime for a chat

Hi Gents I have replaced the wheels and tyres on my 2004 K Series S2 (went for the black look) so the originals are now not wanted, the fronts have Bridgestone Potenza's with about 3 mm or so left on them and the rears have Dunlop D2101's with about 5mm left. All the wheel have a bit of kerb damage but you can see generally not that bad. I will also throw in the original wheel bolts with the standard wheel locks and associated key and splined driver. I was thinking $600 for the lot and best for pick ups as courier would be quite expensive, I think about $100 each. Cheers Darren

Hi Gents I am looking at replacing the tyres on my 2004 S2 (Rover) Elise in the near future and have been looking at all the options. Current fitment are Potenza 175s on the front, trouble is 175s are becoming very hard to get in that size (not made any more) and clearly the problem will only get worse so an option (and future proof) is to change the wheels to 6 1/2" or 7" then I can go with 195s, of which there are many more available. So what have you guys been doing for tyres, makes models suppliers etc for both 175s and 195s Cheers Darren

Great to see a New Zealand regional forum for all kiwi Lotus enthusiasts is now up and running. Well done having this set up Rich. Hopefully plenty of people get onto this and use it. It will be interesting to see how this evolves over time.
