https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-norfolk-62560025.amp A bike designer who helped Great Britain win gold at the 1992 Olympics has died. Mike Burrows, from Thorpe St Andrew, Norfolk, was best known for designing what became the Lotus Type 108 bike, ridden by Chris Boardman at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona. The married father-of-one died on Monday, aged 79. Boardman, who won the 4,000m individual pursuit in 1992, described Mr Burrows as the "godfather" of his craft. He tweeted: "Very sad to hear Mike Burrows, the designer of the Lotus bike, passed away today. "He was the godfather of modern bicycle design …

Finally, after buying them over 12 months ago, I've managed to get my Lotus 110, signed by the artist, pictures up on the wall. As an ex racing cyclist, with an ex Scottish national champion for a daughter, these pictures perfectly bring together two of my greatest passions - Lotus cars and cycling! I actually raced in a few races with Chris Boardman, the cyclist represented in the pictures, so all told, a really special part of my home to me!

I know a few people have been interested in buying one of these rare and iconic 1990s superbikes. Two have come on the market this week - posting for your interest and I have no connection with either sale. First is a fully restored frame and replica fork (the originals were notoriously fragile) with period-correct 1990s components. The seller is active in the 110 owners club and this is his second 110. UK based and selling at £11,500. Advertised here on Facebook. Second is frame and fork only. It appears to have an uncut seat post, which is rare. Seller is based in Germany and asking EUR 8000. Advertised here on Facebook.

Hello, Does anyone have any photos of the London Motorfair stand from 1993? There was a Lotus 110 on it except all photos seen are very grainy. Paul

Hi, I'm lucky enough to own a Lotus Sport 110 bike as risen by Chris Boardman. Even luckier is that mine is a British built frame rather than a South African built bike so it is 1 of 50. there is a Sport 110 register on Facebook called Lotus 110 club and we are trying to organise an event at Hethel in 2017. I'm sure it will be a great spectacle to see these iconic machines lapping their spiritual home and if anyone would like to participate I will post up more details later. i could really do with a little leverage with Lotus as my requests to borrow the track is just bouncing round departments at the mo. I know Bibs has some influence so I wonder if you do me a…
