Email received today from Central Lotus, Nottingham. No doubt other main dealerships will have sent similar promotional messages. Pistonheads also has 5 new cars direct from the factory among the 34 for sale presently. Beat the £5,000 price increase on the Central Lotus Emira's in stock. PS. New handbook version now on the Lotus Cars UK website - dated May 2023 - as well as updated V6 manual and auto stuff it includes the i4 variant, ADAS functionality (although LCCS are still saying NO ADAS on i4 FE) the hidden hole for the CarPlay cable and also references an Emira mobile app (coming soon.....?) It confirms i4 unladen weight at 1455kg against V6 manual at 1493kg and V6 Auto at 1500kg so a 38kg saving i4 Vs V6 manual and 45kg saving i4 against V6 auto. Have tried without success to have the recall items and software update sorted, initially tried in Uk but no slot availability or parts from the dealer that took the £2k plus bung from Lotus when I said they would be my local dealer. So on my 3 week trip to UK nothing done, so I have started trying my local French dealers. Well the service centres in Paris listed on the website no longer look after lotus and most of the other dealers from all over France share the same telephone number, which is out of service so I guess they don’t do lotus anymore . The lotus France website lists a dealer in Paris that is closed every day and has a Dutch telephone number. …

Has anyone else had an email saying “it’s now time to configure?” I locked in my config last year so I rang customer services. They’re using a new system and they said an email was sent to all deposit holders even the ones that are already set. advice was to ignore the email. But now there’s a chaser saying if you don’t do it you’ll miss the June build (where mine is supposed to be!) - makes me very uncomfortable that there’s two systems and they’re not correctly registered with customer builds…

It looks like there's one less demo car in China. I guess someone had to be first to test the safety systems. Given all of the issues, I guess there can be some comfort in the fact the airbags worked and there were no injuries, apparently.

Just received this from my local dealer / agent in response to asking about the new colour samples: "I just wanted to update you with regards to ordering an Emira, Lotus are going to stop taking orders for all First Edition's on the 29th of June, which includes the i4 in the new colour's and you will only be able to purchase a Base Model Emira after the 29th. Just thought I would let you know to place an order in, if you do really want a First Edition." I hadn't seen anything about this anywhere on here so thought some may find it useful... don't think I'm ready to place an order yet!

Since I had a few experiences in the weeks of ownership, I thought it might be a good idea to list them. So I put a deposit down the day after launch, but given the roadshows are a days drive away from Norfolk and all mid working week there is no way I can go see them it seems unfortunately. So I'm not going to spend 76K on a car I've never seen and given there won't be any cars about until Spring next year there seems no point in Lotus keeping my money. Anyone know the process of getting it back?

Back to the car after a few months away and learning infotainment system again. Found the widget that tells me when to service the car and it says 129 days and 8560 miles to go. The car still only has only done 550 miles, was delivered 28 oct 2022, the PDI says 12 oct 2022, one year is 18 sept 2023, can one assume this is one year from the build date? Should this have been reset at the pdi? Oh and does it need a software update?

I received the email last week telling me to request a payment link for my second reservation deposit, as I think many others did too. It states on the email payment must be received by 5pm today but they still haven’t responded to my payment link request email. Anyone else in this situation?? Where will I stand if the 5pm deadline passes? (It’s not in my spam folder)

I did a factory tour a week ago and learnt a lot about the tech differences so here is what I rember Other than the factory information about the Emira this is what I picked up. The following is what was explained to me by our enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide Scott. Chassis isn't as stiff due to the revised sills. and its internally wider, and a different stronger adhesive is used. Suspension setup and shocks are based on the 410. which "apparently" has softer setting than the 400? discs are one piece. Callipers the same. tyres on sprt suspension are Michelin Cup 2 LOTUS spec only. want new ones their dealer issue only.. engine V6 is a …

Well the sun was shining when I started cleaning them but here is a side by side of the Esprit in Ruby Red and the Magma Emira. I was surprised at how much lower the Esprit is against the Emira.
