Hello, after a two year wait I finally picked up my Emira a few days ago and have enjoyed the first 100+ miles in it. However on delivery the yellow engine light was on and the dealer reset the ECU to turn it off. However the next and subsequent drives the light is still on and stays on for the duration of all drives. Before I run back to the dealer, has anyone else experienced this issue on new Emiras?

Saw a question on social and thought this would be a useful topic for owners in the future. This is a stack of batteries on the Emira production line ready to be installed into cars being built. It's a Platinum "Start Stop Plus AGM" battery. https://www.platinuminternational.com/start-stop-plus-agm

When fitting a battery conditioner, +ve connection pretty straight forward, but for the -ve connection should it be direct to the battery post or after the EBS (battery voltage/condition sensor), any thoughts? oh and any recommendations for a suitable OBD scanner

Does the automatic transmission that will come with the 3.6 liter 6, have rev matching like the 2021 Evora GT I test drove today? will I be able to spec things like the Interior trim, wheels, caliper colors, etc on the 2023 First Edition Tour model? thanks bob

I'm struggling to get past this new lowered rev limit. 6600.... 6600??? 6800 in Sport and Track... Anything under 7000rpm isn't a sports car in my mind. Looks like it has been tuned for torque and a more GT type drive I imagine rpm can be unlocked but will require a full remap by a tuner (we dont know yet if the Emira ecu will be as accesible as the outgoing Evora i guess). Not sure I'm keen to be modding from 'day 1' anyway, just to make the car right for me. Thoughts?

There’s a video on one of the Facebook pages showing a unofficial 0-200 acceleration test. Not sure of the accuracy but the video suggests a time of mid 17 seconds. With the 100-200 around 12 seconds. Is that pretty much the expectation from people for the manual v6 version?

On this forum, a community of mostly Lotus fans and keen old-school drivers the manual seems to be the most popular and most talked about when considering purchase. However, whilst reading Emira threads on Pistonheads the talk there is that Lotus is doing the right thing offering a DCT as THAT is what the mass market wants. They suspect, where the Emira is aimed, that most buyers will opt for a DCT as it is better in 80% of all journeys. Clearly, this does sound logical. Pistonheaders likely cover the fast German marques with DCTs and most manufacturers have moved to towards this with only die-hard fans opting for manual gearboxes. For me, this is a prope…

Sorry if this is common knowledge and I’ve missed it but.. does anyone know if the i4 will have the same incredible traction control system that comes on v6 motors? my Exige has behaved so well in the bad weather, I’m hoping the i4 will have similar as I want to run that all year round.

If we wait to try before we buy, then its gonna be a long wait. So, does any know what cars the AMG engine and DCT box are from? I can then go and take one for a test to see if I am ok with the DCT? I would prefer a manual and hated the IPS on the Evora but other DCT's I have tried have been ok and it IS the way forward.

My initial reaction upon seeing the powerplants available for Emira was a push towards the I4 AMG option, more power? better economy, lower duty, etc. etc. After watch videos of Mercedes A45s pulling away, the obvious false farts on shifts is a bit off-putting. With the V6 being the first engine available I am seriously considering this more expensive option, which hopefully will sound close to the test mule that has been seen at recent events. Is anyone else put off by German flatulence? The Japanese are far too reserved for that sort of thing 😉
