Just on 1400 miles in mine and I have had these lights come on a few times but they had been clearing after a few re starts, but now are permanently on. It seems to be linked to the hand brake as I initially had a warning msg pop up to say that the hand brake and ABS need a service. Now the hand brake wont do hill assist but will still activate manually. Has anybody had this issue and any fix. apart from a dealer trip. Its similar to when the Evora would suddenly drop out of Sport mode and the traction control light would come on, which is due to a brake pedal sensor switch - could this be the same?

Hi guys, Want to ask if its possible to lower the ride height without change the stock coilover? I understand that Ohlin TTX has a ready made solution specifically for Emira, but I want to explore my options with the stock components first. Thanks!

A few questions have come up about traction control, sport mode versus sports suspension and what the Track mode in the Drivers Pack does. Here's an overview and links to more details. First, to clear up one area of confusion. The Emira has two suspension options, Touring and Sports. There are also two (of four) Drive modes called Touring and Sport. Although confusingly these use the same naming, suspension and driving mode are completely separate. The suspension is passive and switching the driving mode doesn't change anything about the suspension. If you're familiar with the Evora, Exige V6 or post-2011 Elise models with Sport Pack then you may know something …

I was wondering if anyone knows the offset sizes for the Emira now that vehicles are going out to owners?

Not sure if anyone has posted pics but here is a photo of the parking brake caliper, and when you get your emira don’t forget you have to put your foot on the brake to switch of the parking brake, think it’s also got brake hold but haven’t mastered that yet

One thing the Emira doesn't have is a front axle lift system like on the 911 GT3. Would be a nice option, because that front bumper is going to get scratched to cr*p!!

Maybe reading too much into this, but the silver emira looks to be riding a good 10mm higher (if not more). Same as the grey one shown off during the launch. The blue is absolutely slammed. I'm wondering if the drivers pack includes a lower suspension setup? He did say the customer had the choice between town driving or track

I can see the choice of suspension set-up and tyre/tire choice being a tough one for most of us. Here are the options: It currently looks like the Drivers Pack is included in the First Edition. The conundrum is does one go for the Sports Suspension or the Touring Suspension (and which tyre with that). This may have to be guesswork as we are unlikely to be able to drive all set-ups before confirming our spec. My first though, as the V6 is to be a road car only, is that the Touring suspension that comes with the Goodyears is sensible. However, the Sports Suspension with the Cup 2 tyres will give ultimate feel on the road (and…

Did any one else pick up on the fact the Emira has bespoke tyres, they may be 20” all round , yes the fronts will be a different size but the fronts have a different case structure to act like a 19” I started the Video at this discussion like spark plugs on the supercharged V6 they will be Lotus only.

The Emira is supposed to be a "daily driver", meaning you can use it for your everyday commute. I'm currently driving a BMW E89 Z4 as a daily for more than 7 years now, and it does the job for me: Sunny days, rain, winter... No problemo. I only need two seats and no need for any luggage. So far, so good. Now, I've been reading a lot about the Lotus chassis and how it's different from more mainstream cars. But my concern is this: If the Emira is usable as a daily, is it wise to drive it on snowy days, when salt is on the roads? The rational explanation will probably be: "No, because salt and aluminium don't match". Other posts claim that some people drive their cars a…

Little mention so far on what's going on at the rear on these cars. Multi link on is the way Porsche has been on the 911 since the 90s, everything since the 458 for Ferrari, and now McLaren have gone there with the Artura. In the press for the Evija, they make a thing about the heave damper, but I didn't see a mention of the setup of that car. For Lotus it would be new territory, and 5 link would be a big advantage over the Cayman with its all round struts. The shots accompanying the Car and Driver Evija article posted yesterday shed a little light. In the following photo I'm not sure what I'm seeing. I'm counting 5 links, though it seems that two of those links are…
