Our schedule is so that we start from Stocholm, Sweden on thursday morning (11.9. at 7 am) and should be in Norwich on friday evening (12.9). So one night sleep in Germany. Is't about 2000 km. What do you think, is this too optimistic?

Ta-da! Lotus_Celebrates_Diamond_Anniversary.pdf See ya there LEF are organising some fun for everyone on the Saturday too, details to be confirmed but basically it will be a treasure hunt on Saturday afternoon for Lotus cars clubs around East Anglia. We'll meet up in Yarmouth for a couple of hours with local radio for some fundraising etc then set off on a route to visit historic Lotus landmarks in the area finishing up at the factory for a bbq and chance to see the Eagle up close and personal. More details to follow as I have them. We're also the Club Liaison so are getting 10-12 Lotus Car Clubs to have a stand at the event with 3 cars on display each…

Hello, after the two Oxford Meetings 2004 and 2005, I want do my third trip to England this year to the Lotus 60th anniversary event. My girlfriend, my Esprit an I will start on saturday morning the 13th in Cologne, Germany. We take the eurotunnel and we will arrive in Norwich in the afternoon. We will stay at the Wensum Guest House. When I see, how many visitors the organizers expect on sunday, I think it may be difficult to meet somebody in the crowd of people. My questions for the sunday are: Is there a spezial parkingplace for the LEW Esprits or is there a meeting point? Would be nice for me to see some of you and your cars again after 2004 and 2005. Be…

Well after a great day out at the lotus factory, i was heading home and suddenly thought the brakes seemed a little spongy.... pulled over into a service station on the A14, and discovered my car was leaking brake fluid quite catastrophically from the rear calliper Big thankyou to the three white Esprits that pulled over and gave a helping hand, some good advice and moral support. And of course to my wonderful Alicja for being understanding, and not being too upset to miss her sunday lunch It had to happen to someone.....Lots Of Trouble Usually Serious

Are there any convoys from the south/south east going on the 14th? Looks like i'm probably going on my own and would love to meet up before we got there instead of wandering around all on my lonesome. I'm in Stevenage off the A1m so if anyone is going past let me know.

I'm not too amused with Norfolk's plod, had a great day at the factory but got pulled yesterday on the way out of Norwich, copper was going in opposite direction to me, he did a fast U turn on main A road, raced past a number of cars and trucks without his blue lights. Caught me and followed me for half a mile before the blues and two's came on. I've got to put the defects on my vehicle right in 14 days, number plates too small although accepted that they were perfectly legible. I got a lecture on how people have italic fonts and playboy logo's on their numberplates, not sure why as I don't have either but I think he was annoyed that I was not speeding. Last year I …

Brian has very kindly offered LEF some of his time during the day on Sunday to give us a talk on the current Esprit situation at Hethel. Please be by the LEF stand for 2pm. We'll also take the opportunity for some group shots too so make sure you're there or I'll round you up with a big lasso

I'm ashamed to admit it and expect suitable punishment to be meted out by the mods shortly , but I'm afraid being stuck in black Esprit for 45 minutes in the sun, and only inching forward every 10 mins, was too much for my Victor Meldrew alter ego, and so I legged it off down some lanes to try and approach from the East... and guess what ... yep, I ran into a queue just as long and just as slow, if not slowe ... and so after another 30 stationary minutes I three point turned and went back to Dunston for a coffee with a return trip planned for later on ... BUT when I came back down the A11 at sometime after noon the queue was now 0.5 miles back along the A11 towa…

Hello, today 6:00 am we wanted to start our trip to the Lotus 60th anniversary. But all the news in the internet and TV about the situation in Callais and at the Eurotunnel let us become convinced that it’s better to cancel the trip. Today they will open one tunnel again but no one could tell me, when the situation will change, how long we have to wait and what the situation is on monday, when we want travel back to Germany. I’m very sad because all was good prepared, the car is in excellent condition and I was looking for meeting all the nice Esprit guys I’m knowing from the LEF forum. I wish you a perfect event. 1. The north test track could do with a new layer of tarmac...was it bombed in the war and never re-surfaced? 2. The factory is a lot more modern than I expected...and a whole lot bigger too 3. Paramedics love ice cream...I know one and he has confirmed this...(what does Norvic mean though?) 4. Hazel Chapman looks good for her age...not that I know how old she is... 5. People in lime green polos are very helpful/friendly 6. Mobile thrones is a great name...the sound of piped music while having a pee in a portakabin was something else 7. Lotus made an absolute killing...I was thinking about bidding for the roundel but i think it would have gone for silly money...if a…

Hi All. Like always we all love a good hoon to the factory. Seeing peoples faces as we take over Thickthorne Roundabout and the A11 to the factory is brilliant. We have lots of members staying in other hotels and thought it best to post up details here. I was guestimating a 9.00 arrival at Dunston for a 9.30 leave to Hethel. Lets remember that the gates aren't open till 10 and it only takes 15 mins to get there. Is everyone happy with these arrangements? One problem is getting out of Dunston. Who evers at the front will have to drive carefully to ensure everyone gets out together. Lets also have those camera's at the ready, we had some great "side by side" a…
