Hoping this is in the right section. If not, Bibs please do the necessary. I have an aftermarket, Mickey Mouse, cheapo EBay replacement on my '09 Evora. It looks not only tatty, but shows the image the wrong way round. Whoever installed it forgot to cut one of the wires !! Does anyone know the OEM part no. and price? My guess is it's probably £prohibitive and on back order anyway. So, next question. Has anyone had to replace the OEM camera and what with? Thanks for any replies 👍

We're eager to gather information and stories about its past. As you can see from the photos, our Lotus Europa, is a 1971 Series 2 model and is very much a work in progress. We're thrilled to discover the tales behind this particular car. If you have any knowledge, history, or personal experiences related to this UK / Scotland-based Europa with the registration DDG 872J, we would be thrilled to hear from you! Whether you've owned it in the past, know someone who has, or have any information about its journey on the ro…

I've broken mine and am looking to buy a replacement. I assume that, like a lot of the other interior parts, it comes from another car. Thanks, Rob

Hats off to another Lotus owner who uses their car to go the supermarket! I was in my Exige - very practical shopping cars, especially keeping things cool in the boot on the way home. 🤣

A project I've recently be working on has required me to do some analysis of DVLA data from one of the many companies that can provide API access to various data sets they obtain from the DVLA. While I was doing that it I thought it would be interesting to see what the data could tell me about the remaining Esprit S4s. Looking at the workshop manual, Esprit S4s's all have a VIN in either of the following formats, where "nnn" is the serial number: 1995MY = SCC082910SHA64nnn 1996MY = SCC082910THA64nnn From what I've read elsewhere there were a total of 362-ish built for all markets, so based on this information I ran queries against serial numbers f…

Hi All, I have just purchased 873G. A 1980 S2 which will need a complete restoration. Plus points - It seems 95% complete, although the roof liner , clock and visors are missing ( I know the clocks are rarer than Unicorns ) . The body is tatty but whole . The interior apart from the roof is beige 'leather' with chocolate brown marcasite which has faded to baby poo green - However all trim is complete , undamaged and original . So I am torn on whether to keep original but perhaps colour restore the marcasite , or whether to retrim . It rolls nicely and the engine runs with no major noises - but I do plan a rebuild . Gearbox and clutch -unk…

Hi guys, I've owned the car for about a month now, and a problem seems to have cropped up two weeks ago. My alarm would just suddenly just go off randomly. This has happened 4 times in different places, two of which was in my garage early in the morning with no one there to accidentally touch the car. I am able to turn it off by pressing the unlock button, but when I press the lock key, it gives me the 3 beeps, telling me that something isn't right. This is different from the 6 beeps when I try to lock it, with a door or the trunk left open. The first time it happened and it was causing a lot of noise to my restaurant customers, I drove it off to another parking s…

Long hot drive up from Suffolk to Fife yesterday. Variously - Verdant Emira near Kings Lynn. And yes, it did look black from a distance. Seneca Blue Emira A1M Southbound, Ferry Bridge. Red Evora pulling into Wetherby services. Green Elan S2 A1 Southbound Durham. Probably 20+ TR6s, Stags, Spitfires and MGBs, some in convoy, plus a couple of Morgans and TR7s, A1 north of Newcastle Black Lamborghini Countach, Eastbound Edinburgh bypass Several Aston Martins throughout the day Hell of a day for a car spotter, especially given the hundreds of miles I've covered in recent weeks when I've rarely seen anything of interest. Holiday made…

I’m considering these manifolds to delete the cats and make the car less emasculated: https://aerieperformance.com/products/motorsports-headers?fbclid=IwAR3Y1k0Gy2nheYzExKRhQNZxZQs2YK09Mh8_ULwQS7nSNxSIHuPQs9EfPXU I already have a 2Bular lightweight back box on the car. ‘Question is, what else do I need? I assume I’ll need a modified Down pipe with a sports cat/flexi joint in. will I need new lambda sensors with longer leads? will I need to get the car mapped - is it recommended? I can only assume by deleting the cats the car should perform slightly better? Any advice appreciated, thanks.

Hi Lotus community Last year I was able to fulfill a lifelong dream and buy my Lotus Exige 410 Sport. My brother was a car mechanic for a long time and worked on Lotus / Caterham. When they had a grey Exige S1 in the showroom in 2000, I was thrilled. The dream of one day owning such a car was permanently implanted in my brain. As a realization became more possible, I rented an Elise S in 2020 and a Seven Roadsport in 2021 for 3 days each. Since I didn't felt comfortable in the Seven, it was clear that it would be a Lotus. First I looked around for an Elise S3 or Exige S2. When I test drove an Elise 250 cup, I was not 100% convinced and asked for a test drive w…

Currently have Trofeo R fitted, I’m after tyres for predominantly road use, I may do 1 or 2 track days a year. Can any Cup owners provide a recommendation?? Obviously nitron suspension was ‘tuned’ by Lotus for the Trofeo tyre. Cant fault the Trofeo R, found then good in dry and damp, wear rate not great, but price is silly money for a car that will spend most of its life on the road, so Cup2? AD08? PS4?

Hi all, I just thought I'd share some knowledge I have found out today after talking to the technical team at Dellorto (Eurocarb) in the UK. My 1989 Turbo has twin Dellorto carbs and on the top, they have embossed on them DHLA 45. However, if you look carefully at this picture, you can see 'M' after the 45 (not embossed) - both my carbs look like this. So initially I thought they weren't 'M's but they are. Dellorto tell me that the 'M' should have 'Power Jets' and the next picture shows the venturi with 2 small holes for the powerjets to come through.........but although I have 'M' carbs, and although I have the holes in the venturi for the powerjets, I …
