What is the length of the slave cylinder rod? I think someone in the past has fitted a different rod and cylinder to mine. The rod measures 125mm and the cylinder looks like the image of a series 3 Landover. Thank you

It's been a while, so I'd like to propose a meet at the The Walwyn Arms at Much Marcle on Saturday 3rd June at 1230. A chat in the car park then on into the pub for lunch? For the cider lovers amongst you a visit just up the road to Westons Cider after lunch might be fun. Any of you of up for this? Anyone want to recommend a different date?

Being a bit lazy here, research wise, but I am sure someone will jump-in :- EVORA 2010 LE Whilst I was routing around fixing a problem with my turn indicators and the ICM (other thread refers) I photographed these two phono connectors near the fuse box in the passenger well. I've noticed them before and intrigued as to what they are for....

Does anyone know what size needle valve is needed on the Dellortos in an S1 Eclat? There are so many variants and sizes at https://www.dellorto.co.uk/product-category/dellorto-car-carburettors-parts/parts/dhla-parts/ that I don't know where to start. I suspect it might be a 200 size but not sure which variant on that site.

I have been looking to buy a new/pre reg van and the best price for what I am looking at is at a commercial van dealer, but the stipulate that they have to hold the v5 for the first 12 months wtf😒. I am a cash buyer so there is no finance involved. They are trying to tell me this is so I can't sell it on in the first year, but surely if I own it outright I should have full say of what happens to it and have the v5. I've currently walked away from the deal even though the company is deemed reputable Anyone else had this Regards Dan

Sorry if this is a daft question. Can anyone tell me what this is please (circled)? I'm guessing it's some kind of water pump, but I'm not sure. Also, how noisy should it be when the ignition is switched on? My car has been parked up for a while and now when I go to start it, this pump(?) sounds noisier than I remember! I'm just pre-empting having to replace it, if it has developed a fault. Thanks

I am pretty sure Climate change is happening. Think most can agree on this. However whether it is human caused, human affected or totally natural seems to be a matter of discussion. Also, we all know climate change has happened throughout the History of the world we live on and natural selection means only those species who can adapt and evolve will survive, but is this natures natural selection? Well lets hear your views. I'm sure, as always, it will be interesting to see what people think! My view is that Yes, there is Climate Change happening. I also believe that humans have made it worse. However I also think the focus is wrong on tackling it! I t…

Hi Guys, so yesterday I was asked by a fellow lotus esprit owner does anyone know what happened to his x180 turbo Stevens car. Here is a pic for reference on its original registration was E73 CPE. It might still have exige seats in the car. The car was sold though UK sports cars in Kent about 4-5 years ago. The old owner would love to get in touch with them and if ever possible buy it back. However he'd just love to see it again more than anything.

Hello all I was giving my 410 a good clean today when I removed the front carbon fiber "trunk" panel. Found a plastic "lid" under the panel which didn't appear to belong there! Being non mechanically minded thought I'd chuck a few photos on the forum here and see if anyone can tell me whether the lid belongs somewhere on the car or if it's just something bizarre that's been left under there at some stage!!! Either way, I'm bloody confused! Thanks for your help folks! Cheers Dave

Not sure if this is the correct place to ask but Ive seen other questions in this thread relating to insurance figures. My insurance is due and my 85 Turbo was insured for £35k I've asked a few other owners with similar and they say that what they have their insurance set at. I think however this might be a bit low if cars are selling circa that shouldn't insurance be set higher? Also is agreed value worth doing? If prices move so quickly (and not down) you could an agreed value less than market value especially as cars don't seem to be coming up for sale at the moment?

Hi all, I feel like I've picking your brains a lot recently, but I have another issue and wondered if anyone knows the answer. My car wouldn't start today, and after a bit of investigations, I have found that both connections to my coil pack are positive. I'm guessing this could be because I have a fuel system issue and my question is, does the car have a safety feature that would short out the coil pack when there is an issue with the fuel system? I'm hoping the answer is yes! This would isolate my problem to the fuel system issue. Thanks for any help.

https://cardealermagazine.co.uk/publish/exclusive-jaguar-set-to-slash-number-of-uk-dealers-to-under-20-in-just-two-years/281052 British car manufacturer Jaguar is set to drastically cut its dealer network from more than 80 today to less than 20 in just two years. The car manufacturer has told its dealer partners that it doesn’t need a large number of the sites anymore as it transitions to an all-electric future.

So, I know a lot of S1 owners replace their knobs with new aluminium ones. My knob is looking a little worn and the leather is peeling off. Does anyone have their old knob lying around - preferably one with a paprika bottom half?

Looking for a new/used gearbox or internals .. or someone interested in a project - 2011 S 1 2

Sadly my 2011 Evora S has been diagnosed with a gearbox issue. It is probably a chipped tooth on 1st and/or 2nd but may also be some wear on other parts. The only way to be sure is to take the gearbox out and either replace the whole thing or open it up and do some major surgery. In addition, although the clutch is engaging fine, the throw-out bearing noise has got gradually worse and if the gearbox is coming out I may as well do the clutch at the same time. The 400 clutch kits are available from Lotus. But many of the gearbox internals are out of stock and with no timeframe for re-orders. I'm therefore looking for any gearbox parts or a whole gearbox that might…
