Hey guys, Does anyone have this in their Elise? My previous sport 220 didn’t have this and from pictures of other Elise’s steering columns, I can’t see any foam that leads into the bulkhead. Anyone have an idea of why it’s there or any negative effects that ripping it out might cause? FullSizeRender.MOV

Hi all, see question below. Also the adjuster bolt shoulder is slightly out of round and the hole it goes into is about 0.8 mm to big and the bolt is not clamped tight when it is done up . If this is wear ,where does it come from? If it is partly built in play ,it seems a lot. Have you bought a new adjuster mechanism and noticed any of this? Comments please

I just bought a second set of forged wheels for my Exige and I need another TPMS kit for it." Does somebody know which version\manufacturer Lotus used for their Sport 410\Cup 430 cars? Heard of some issues and want to make sure I´ll order the right ones. Thank you!

Hi, Just bought an Exige, love it.. it’s perfect but I just need to make it a bit more 2023.. Met a nice chap in 250 Cup at Goodwood on my first adventure and he showed me his setup:- http://www.joyingauto.eu/single-din-car-radio/6-2-inch-single-din.html Joying 6.2 with Apple CarPlay - Waze NAV + Speed Cameras ✅ Its discrete, looks OEM, isn’t expensive and doesn’t interfere with anything so bought one straight away on eBay. Thank you Elise owner 👊🏽 It’s arrived in a sealed Joying box. Quality looks superb (cat is impressed!) I’m technically minded so will fit it myself but know many on here will have done something like this before.. …

Hi Sparky, not sure if you will see this message, but need your help! Just took S4s out of storage today, driven about 60 miles and clutch is gone. RAC guy came and told me the fluid is leaking from master cylinder, I could see fluid, not sure if you would have time to help me fix it? If so, I could put the car on a flat bed and take it to you ? If sparky is too busy, does anyone know a reliable mechanic in London who could help fixing this please ?

Morning All, I thought I would share a thought process I had this morning, and see anyone else has observed similar. I am yet to take the wheel off and arch liner out, so this is all speculative. On my Evora 400 I had 2 air conditioning compressors fail in quick succession many years ago, and ever since then based on recommendations from Lotus (as my car is not a daily driver) I start the car up every two weeks with the aircon on and let the car get up to temp. This is to ensure the aircon gas and oils get around the system to make sure its all working. Despite doing this, I have had the aircon stop working and only way to sort was a trip to the dealers to get…

I recently bought a seal kit from SJ to rebuild my rear calipers, unfortunately it didnt come with the square profile seal that goes in the handbrake mech between the body of the caliper and the bit that bolts on. 1 of mine was fine but the other was shot. Does anyone know who can supply these ?

Finally, after years of seeing posts about whether or not it's possible I've seen a real one. Was at a "coffee and cars" in Sydney a month ago. A very neat and professional conversion with a surprising amount of space left in the engine bay. The bellhousing was probably from Tornado, who do them for the GT40 replicas running Renault boxes.

I did a factory tour a week ago and learnt a lot about the tech differences so here is what I rember Other than the factory information about the Emira this is what I picked up. The following is what was explained to me by our enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide Scott. Chassis isn't as stiff due to the revised sills. and its internally wider, and a different stronger adhesive is used. Suspension setup and shocks are based on the 410. which "apparently" has softer setting than the 400? discs are one piece. Callipers the same. tyres on sprt suspension are Michelin Cup 2 LOTUS spec only. want new ones their dealer issue only.. engine V6 is a …

Hi Guys, I'm currently the owner of an Ap1 S2000 however I've recently been bit by the Lotus bug. It's been as you would expect - Constantly checking Autotrader / Ebay / YouTube and trying to find as much Elise related content as I can! My only issue is, because of the rarity of them... I've never actually seen one in person or sat in one. I was just reaching out to see if there were any owners on here based in Newcastle Upon Tyne (Or local-ish?) that wouldn't mind showing me around their Elise and having a bit chat about the pros / cons and general livability of them. It would be purely a weekend/sunny weather car so not a daily, but before I go too far do…

Well the sun was shining when I started cleaning them but here is a side by side of the Esprit in Ruby Red and the Magma Emira. I was surprised at how much lower the Esprit is against the Emira.

On SWLC facebook page they are going to this new event held east of Exeter at Greendale - think that is where the covid jabs have been going on. Seems to be £3 per car.. to be is the display, but suppose nothing to stop anyone just parking in the farm shop car park and saving £3? See from their page they have been in to see Hendy Performance. They also say - Our events will be on the third Sunday of every month where we will be inviting all petrolheads to Greendale Farm for a morning of cars, cuppas and conversations @mayevora ?

In and around Linlithgow seems to be the place around these parts to go Lotus spotting. Today, at lunchtime, at the West Port in Linlithgow, a lovely Elise in the Gold Leaf racing livery and sporting an Elise-related registration number. I was in the Evora so waves were exchanged - yay, I'm getting good at this now after all those barren months.

Hello my fellow brothers and sisters. I wanted to share with you my story and all my work that I have done to my Lotus Evora 400. I have always been dreaming of owning one since I was little kid like even when I pay car video games, I always choose Lotus cars to race with. Recently in 2020, I spotted my eyes on a clean Evora 400 almost factory state and the former owner didn't drive it much since he bought it in 2016 it only have been driven 10,000 KM. You can even smell the leather seats fresh. Luckily for me, I had some money saved up in the bank and so I have bought it after checking all of it with Lotus dealership that we have here and they have told go for…

Hi everybody, I'am fighting with this problem for a while now. To be simple the start button does noting. It's not like the battery is low. It juste does noting. When I spam the button, the car finaly starts. I read somewhere that there is a common proble solved replacing the button. So I did that ans that solved the problem for about a week. And now I have the same problem. I noticed that if I disconnect / reconnect the battery it solve the problem for one or two cycles. Somone can give me some hint of what to do ? It's on a Exige 240S PP Best regards Juan

I know what you’re thinking, but it’s not something that happens in the Watford public conveniences, I’m talking about an automotive electrical issue here. A couple of years ago, I had a purge on incandescent bulbs, and fitted out the Esprit with as many LED's as possible. I was impressed with the much brighter sidelights, indicators and most of all the awesome power when on main beam. I hadn’t noticed any problems until last week, when I did the usual pre-MOT walk around, crawl under, and poke everything checks. The car has not been used for about 8 months, which is unusual as ordinarily drive it on a regular basis. I noticed that the hazard warning lights were…

Have a EU spec (LHD) car with alu footrest on the passenger side (passenger over here sits on the right hand side ;-)). Considering moving to a full carpet set. I know Imran is selling a LHD set, not sure they are different (I do think they are different in the footwell area?) - does anybody know what options are out there? - I've read using double sided tape... I do want things to be fully reversible without leaving any marks on the alu; any tips & tricks? Many thanks! Interior shot:
