I’m selling the BOE intake from my Evora S, as I’m returning the car to stock for sale. This makes an amazing difference to the sound of the car- you get a real addictive supercharger whine, much more so than you get from the stock intake. It tidies up the engine bay a lot too. Good condition other than a bit of paint rub/small dent where it was mounted against the brace in the engine bay (you can just face this side down so you never see it). It includes a vacuum pod which means the exhaust valve will operate as normal (without this vacuum pod your exhaust will be in loud mode basically all the time), the ITG filter inside, and all the clips etc you need. Very easy to…

Morning everyone, I just saw the advert on TV about the expansion of the low emissions zone in London, and put my Evora 400's reg into the checker to see what happens.... TFL don't show my car as being ULEZ compliant, so as far as they are concerned I would be liable. Looking at my V5C, it's not got a Euro emissions rating on it, just a CO2 value - but searching suggests that a 400 should be Euro6 compliant. You can register with them to get the details updated: Documents you need for proof All vehicles: A copy of the vehicle's V5C or non-UK equivalent Plus To prove your vehicle meets the ULEZ standards: A letter from the…

Hello, I searched but didn't find someone with a similar problem. On my newly aquired 2013 Exige V6 the instrumentation is working when I press on the buttons, and the buttons are lit, BUT they do not change state when I press them. I cannot tell wether A/C, air recycling or even headlights are on or off by looking at the button. The light intensity doesn't change a bit. In find it to be quite dangerous in the case of the taillights which I cannot tell if they are on. I tried changing the dimming settings but doesn't fix it. Is this behavior normal ? If not, what is controlling the change of light intensity when an instrumentation is on or off? Any ideas would …

I live near Brooklands race track and on Saturday, April 30 they are having an Italian sports car day with an expected 300+ ferraris and lamborghinis etc on display. Could we turn up in our Esprits waving the Guigaro flag (not literally) to get in?http://www.thelotusforums.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/whistle.gif In any case its a great event- there are different entrances for display cars and regular parking so the worst that could happen is being turned round to go with the 'normal' cars. http://www.brooklandsmuseum.com/index.php?/events/details/auto-italia-italian-car-day/

My elite is starting fine and runs well up to when the engine is reading 90-100 on the temp gauge. When it gets to this temp it is cutting out and not restarting untill it is cold again! Even on the motorway when the engine is being cooled by the air comming through it will run forever although when u cut off the motorway or clear road it won't idle, cuts out and won't restart! It's been tuned, had the carbs balanced, new coil, dizzy, HT leeds, cooling fans, temp switch, hoses etc and still doing it? It's fine just nipping out to the shops but anything more it isn't having. Can someone please help? I am thinking now maybe she needs the carbs cleaned or maybe this is a fue…

Thinking that most Loti owners are fairly affluent. Do any of you have any properties abroad. I may be coming into some money and was thinking about buying a place in the sun. What are peoples experience in having a place and perhaps renting it out. thx

All of the sudden the "Park" light came on the dashboard. It occasionally goes out but comes back on. Looked up in the manual, and not much explanation. Brake fluid is good, brake pads good. Parking/Brake lights come on when I pull the parking brake.

Hi Guys I want to put the classic Good Year white tyre lettering on my 1984 Turbo and I am interested in creating the lettering myself. I have a laser cutter and can get hold of the white silicone rubber sheet material but I need to know the following: 1. What size should the letters be? 2. What glue is used to attach them to the tyre? 3. Does anyone have the Good Year graphics on their computer than I can steal? Thank you, and Merry Christmas!

I saw it at about 4:30 this afternoon (April 26th). It was heading towards Silverstone/Brackley and had the registration A1 NJP, I think.

Constructed a simple tool for measuring pinion height (attached) 🙂 ...Consists of 8 mm (very straight and uniform thickness) rod from scrapped printer + 3D printed piece to hold things in place + standard digital caliber. Good thing is that it measures the distance from the bottom of the bearing cup ...Because as someone discovered before me the mating face between gearbox main housing and clutch housing is actually not (always at least) centered to the CW axis. Procedure: 1) Reset caliber on rod diameter. 2) Mount it in the holder resting on rod. 3) Push caliber pin to pinion top face and do reading.... And of course to get real pinion height …

Not to be left out... A new thread... possibly and hopefully at least 25 posts long, as I gather there are only 25 N/A sports racers in the UK! And i am lucky enough to own one! So to start off, mine is MY14, Ardent Red with black interior. Time to get a 'certificate of provenance' from Lotus so I have more details! Will be great to hear from the other 24! 😉 Cheers, Pete :>)

Hello. Does anyone know of a company who could prise open and repair a VDO gauge with an intermittent fault where the needle swings over to max sometimes. I believe there may be an intermittent short circuit inside the unit. I have fitted a new VDO gauge which works fine but unfortunately has a red needle instead of white and a slightly altered bezel profile. Thank you.

A few years back we saved the Esprit VARI moulds from the skip. We also saved the 340r stuff too and unfortunately it's long term storage is up. Would anyone with space be interested in looking after these on behalf of current/future owners? They may never be of use, or they may save cars from being written off in the future as the body and other parts can be recreated to the original spec. It's about enough kit to fill a single car parking space. Please let me know, thanks

No affiliation, but someone sent me a link and I thought this was quite cool. Click HERE. There are gaps today- for example - missing individual dimensions - missing views (sometimes only a side view available of a car) - missing models (eg. Exige, Emira etc etc) - missing varients (can't for example select 964/993/996/997/991/992) And it's a shame the front & rear shots aren't done as an overlay too, BUT - potentially useful resource. 😎 Hopefully they will fill the gaps over time (using the ad revenue - it's quite "ad-y" 🤐 )
