Hi All, Looking for some thoughts, preferably based on your actual experience of this topic. My 410 is coming up to four years old and its booked in for a service. Good independent Lotus garage have advised me that the rubber plastic flaps in the Lotus baffled sump need to be replaced every two years. As an alternative they have suggested the Moroso oil pans that have metal flaps so dont need to be replaced every two years. As I'm not familiar with this subject I'd like to have some views on this suggestion. What have others done in this instance? Thanks in advance.

As per title, I need to fit an immobiliser bypass to my rover elise ecu. Trouble is the diagram issued with the bypass is literally a picture. To make things worse there is a mess of wires all around the ecu and two potential immobiliser components. The ecu isn't even mounted in the Same way as in the image. It's still at the rear of the engine on the nearside but it's mounted on the bulkhead behind the engine with another component mounted on the adjacent bulkhead to the left of the engine. And the second potential immobiliser unit is fitted directly below the ecu. I dot usually like to get involved with electronics and alarms and such but in this case I have to. I ca…

As said we miss some part for the door lock: I miss one of the metal black clips, can make that myself. How is this black part mouted to the lock? i think there should be some plastic bush or something. Does anyone have a picture?

Hethel, the home of Lotus since 1966 – is reopening to the public. Book your factory tour now: https://www.lotuscars.com/factory-tours/ Factory tours of our iconic Norfolk site were paused in November 2017 as a £100 million redevelopment began. I'm mid-job on @shaunw's lovely GT3, and encountered a very nasty anomaly today. On every Esprit I've ever seen, the pedal pivot shaft is secured with a split pin at its outboard end; this is accessible through the fuse box aperture. I encountered no pin in this position yesterday, so investigated the other, inboard, end of the shaft. Impossible to see, but I could just get a fingertip on what felt like the top of a pin. Retired indoors at this point, thoroughly depressed as I though i might have to remove the pedal box (aaaaagh). Alcohol helped. Refreshed, I attacked it repeatedly today with a pick, completely blind, until it felt like the pick had engaged with…

I passed a very clean and shiny Exige on the Gloucester Road off the Tewkesbury road junction on Saturday 25th, afternoon. I’m afraid I don’t know the name of the colour of yours, a silvery goldy pearlescent look. I was in the red Elise sport 220! I received a big smile and a thumbs up, nice to see more Lotus models ojt and about in Cheltenham Ali

Genuine Lotus Exige 410 Exhaust Silencer, Downpipe & Link Pipe. This was fitted to my 350 Sport and sounds incredible. The exhaust has covered less than 3000 miles from new. Parts Included: Silencer - D132S0217F Downpipe - A138S0077F Intermediate / Link Pipe - A132S0230F The main photo shows the exact exhaust that the buyer will receive in its current excellent condition. The second photo shows this exhaust fitted to a 350. There is no exhaust gasket included in the sale. Reason for sale is due to the car being sold. Due to weight and size the item will be collection only from Harrogate. Price is £1650.

Hi, My AC is not working in my Elise 2012 I've check the fuses F7, F19 and C4 - All OK. I've shorted the Brown/White (the live feed checked at 12v) contact to the Red contact on the AC/Fan Relay module and the compressor does not start or click. Would this mean the compressor is faulty or could there be a different fault? Regards John

https://www.express.co.uk/life-style/cars/1597404/driving-fine-land-rover-fined-cyclist-country-lane. Seems that you need to stop if cyclists are coming the other way on a narrow lane £1000 plus fine seems harsh especially as the woman seems unable to remove her feet from the toe clips quick enough

Hi For some time now we have had the 145HR13 Pirelli Cinturato CA67 which is the best tyre for an early Elan. we recently received a 165VR13 Cinturato CN36. great news news for Elan +2 owners Epic performance. The only thing available that has come close to this tyre in recent years has been the Michelin XAS and the Dunlop SP Sport. They have been the only really suitable for these cars untill the Cuinturato came out which is currently over £70 cheaper than the Dunlop and over £ 100 cheaper than the Michelin XAS Is there another good tyre i have missed? https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/classic-car-tyres/lotus/elan.html the hot gossip is…
