I need all elastic carpet protectors next to the footwell of the passenger and the driver. Can you tell me where to buy it? Or would you like to sell your used interior carpet set with these protectors? I will buy.

I’m looking to replace the non standard heater control knobs on my 98 GT3 as they are not to my taste. However, I am struggling to find the originals for sale. Does anyone know if these are still available anywhere ? (or if there is a cross referenced part) thanks Alan

What drive or serpentine belt make and part number do you use other than the Lotus A132E6397S belt for the Evora NA, and would you recommend replacing the idler pulleys ?. I am making a shopping list for parts for the winter when I plan to do a full check over and carry out a full mechanical refurbishment.

I've owned my S2 type 54 since 1980, drove it a lot in the early years as it was my daily driver. In the late 80's it was getting very tired, so spent 2 years rebuilding it. At that time I replaced the original dampers with spax adjustables as even then the original Armstrong ones were no longer available. But I did keep the old dampers 'just in case'. The car after the rebuild, handled well, but never seemed quite as good as I remembered it, but I put that down to 2 years of not driving it and faulty memory. Since then, it's had GAZ adjustables and the last few years the Protec adjustable dampers from SJ with the matching springs. Over the years I think I've tr…

This is an opportunity to acquire the rarer variant of the S1 Elise that uses the more powerful VVC engine in conjunction with a close ratio gearbox. This gives the car a useful performance increase over the standard car. I have owned the car since 2016. The owners of classic cars are avoiding smart motorways and taking long detours because of the fear of being hit if they break down in a live lane. Drivers of cars made more than 25 years ago said motorways without a hard shoulder held “too many risks” because their vehicles’ age makes them over-susceptible to mechanical failure. Instead, they resort to much longer journeys to bypass the roads, which are 10 per cent of the motorway network. Edmund King, president of the AA, said that the government should “go back to the drawing board” and bring back the hard shoulder. Alan Hames, 80, a highways engineer for 50 years before his retirement, said tha…

Lotus very kindly placed all the cars in a row to help us all see the differences in the colours of the cars plus the different wheel, caliper, black pack and interior options, bar a couple of them. They said it was the first time ever that the cars were together like this! Bottom line is that the car looks amazing in all of the colours but I was more surprised at the impact of the privacy glass, the calipers and the interior differences. Hope you find this helpful.

When I bought my '88, my first impression was that the rear end looked disorganized. Layered horizontal body lines clashing with multiple color vertical swatches of the Toyota tail lights and a "black hole" plinth in the middle looked odd to me. If it were a black car, this graphic scheme wouldn't look so incongruous. To adjust the "incidental" styling, I replaced tail light panels and stream lined the rear end horizontally. In my opinion, this arrangement looks much better on the red car. Even on the black car it looks much "cleaner" !

Hi all, Is there anyway to easily identify which casings are which? ie UN1-16 27 or 28. I'm in the process of stripping my spare gearbox, it is a 'reconditioned' unit. When I bought the car the gearbox failed and they fitted this one. It Broke again, 2nd gear, so I fitted another box which I had acquired. So the gearbox has the plastic speedo drive from the diff with the actual drive to connect a cable to in the casing. I then noticed that the Crownwheel has UN1 16 T244 marked on it. (looks hand engraved) I'm wondering if the casings are the older ones too. I heard they are not as strong especially when combined with the UN1-16 C&P. Thoughts

So I can not drive my car at night, that is how bad my light switches are, all of them. Has anyone come up with a solution for the Peugeot switches replacement for the later V8's? I know they are Peugeot 106/205 but they don't sell that crap in the US, because it's crap and no other manufacturer sells cars in the US that has light switches that don't last 20 years. At least if they do then there is an abundance of them and replacing them is not an issue. I have searched and SJS doesn't sell them, even though they are listed on their web site. I tried to purchase them but they removed them from my order because Lotus does not support them anymore. I tr…

Lower link modified for air ride. I'm putting the car back on coils and will convert to post '85 (adjustable platform) dampers, which means I can just remove the original platform to make the repair easier. Cutting the MIG welds for the inner reinforcement was pretty easy, but there are a couple of spot welds that put up some resistance. There is some wear in the anti-roll bar holes, so I may swap the links side for side when I make the new reinforcing plates.
